Didn’t have a problem installing these myself, these were the type that were on her car and I needed the tool to get them off.

Fit on my Mercedes E class and worked exactly as described. So far no rusting and are tight. Love the added security with the special tool. Will be trying these on a Kia Forte as well and will update regarding the fit on that vehicle.

My car recently got stolen, and the first things the thieves did was swap the plates with another car on the side of the road. In addition to hiding an AirTag in the trunk so I can track the vehicle, I wanted these to make my car harder to hide.The top review says that the security posts were short enough that they could screw them on and off with a screwdriver. I did not have this problem. There was the tiniest bit of bite with a flathead screwdriver, but it immediately slipped out when I applied any force at all. A thief would have to use more than common hand tools to remove these.I have stock circular screw plastic inserts on my 2010 Subaru Outback, and these screws initially looked too thick to fit in them. But they actually fit perfectly. I didn’t use the square inserts in this pack.

I only wanted the star wrench and I got that in this package , now I can put my new handicap plates on .!! Thanks worked nice !!

I got these to attach a license plate to a utility trailer. The license plate was brand new, made of aluminum which is fairly soft. The head on these bolts is barely larger than the hole in the license plate, it catches the plate by maybe half a millimeter on each side of the hole in the plate. It would not have taken long before the plate fell off after the holes in the soft aluminum plate enlarged over time. I had to go buy some 1/4" washers to put under the bolt head and under the nut in the back to ensure that the plate wouldn't fall off the bracket.Other than the bolt head and nut being too small to be used for a license plate bolt they are well made, the nuts fit snugly and have a nylon insert so they don't rattle off, the tool works well to install the bolts. They just need to have a larger bolt head and nut, or be supplied with flat washers. For the price though they are great quality and well made.

Perfect replacement for old nylon fasteners that were starting to deteriorate on our 2008 Subaru Impreza Hatchback. Screws being made of stainless steel are nice as they won't rust like the old steel ones.

Works Great

Product came and worked as expected. I used these on 2 different vehicles. One required the use of the white plastic inserts that come in the package. The other was not designed for the insert and just has holes in the bumpers.The vehicle that used the inserts was fairly straightforward and simple. When removing the old plastic inserts be sure to put a piece of paper or thin plastic between the paint and whatever you use to pull the plastic insert out or you might scratch the paint. I used two methods to remove them. I used the above mentioned method on the front, and then I removed the inside trunk cover and just pushed them out. The new ones pop right in.The screws for the other vehicle that didn't use the inserts were a little tight in the holes, but if you work them through to size them before you attach the license plate its much easier.I had a minor issue with the Allen Wrench that comes with in the package because the top of the license plate on the rear bumper is very close to the overhang in the bumper making it hard to use the Allen wrench. That's not Cruisers fault, that's poor design by the car manufacturer.

Overall the quality seems quite good. Unfortunately doesn't meet my current needs. The current screws on the front plate of my mx5 are too long. A shop pushed against the plate during a service and slightly chipped the paint. I was hoping these would suit, turns out they are the same size. Due to the package design you have to cut it open on three sides, so can't be returned. They may come in handy on a future car.

Someone stole my license plates and then ended up stealing gas using the plates, so the police wanted to ask me a few questions. Luckily I reported the plates as stolen so I had no trouble, just an inconvenience more than anything. Long story short, I got these screws and they seem to be a good theft deterrent at a low price. Fortunately, my included screwdriver key that I received had the special key on both ends unlike some other reviewers, so it was no issue to put the screws on my 2015 Hyundai Sonata.

Very easy concept, however only a special key supplied . Spent 45 frustrating minutes trying to install . A drill bit key that they would supply would be very user friendly . I have an extremely sore palm and I work with tools all day .update license plate fell off don't buy

El metal de los tornillos se ve de buena calidad, en mi caso no fue necesario hacer uso de los accesorios que incluye para colocar los tornillos para las placas, entraron sin problema con la llave que trae.

Me gustaron, la construcción de estos se siente muy bien, espero no se oxiden o se les desprenda el cromo, sería muy bueno que incluyeran rondanas, yo tuve que buscar unas pues quedaban muy justas en el orificio de la placa
