Product was easy to install. Pipe Tape was included. Make sure to flush the filter before attaching shower head. Haven’t been able to tell if water is softer yet. It’s a bit large. Looks as pictured. Will have to take everything a loose to change cartridge.

I've gotten 3 of these filters now, and continue to only buy this one. When I was living in Mexico, my water smelled so strongly of bleach, it burned my eyes and I could hardly stand to be in my shower. This filter solved that immediately. Then, when I moved to Bali (which is notorious for hard water with tons of minerals that cake onto your skin and hair, making it dry and brittle, and where lots of people complain about their hair falling out), I installed this shower filter. Without the filter, after every shower I took, dry powdery white patches would cake onto my shower walls and everything I kept in the shower, and it was super hard to clean off. If it was that hard to remove from my shower, imagine how hard it would be to remove it from my hair. After installing the filter, this immediately stopped. So I have the confidence that whatever that crap was in the water, if it's no longer getting on my stuff in my shower, that means it's not getting on my hair. Bonus: Attractive looking product that's very easy to install. After buying it, I kept it in the box for months (don't judge lol), overwhelmed about the installation process, waiting until I could find someone else to install it for me, then when I was finally fed up with the awful water, I opened the box, read the instructions, and installed it literally in 3 minutes--with no tools, lol.

I have tried several shower filters from amazon and some of them made me itch terribly. For a while, I settled for a chrome cylinder shaped one that worked well enough but definitely did not match my oil rubbed bronze hardware. I decided to check again (a year later) and have now found this beauty. It provides good water softening for my fragile hair and I still get excellent water pressure. I know there are other's out there that may be less expensive but I feel like this one is good quality and was shipped from a family owned business from my home town of Houston, TX. I always like to support small businesses whenever possible. I got a little carried away with the Teflon tape which I will fix once I have to change the filter but other than that I think it looks beautiful in my shower. I am now back to order a second one to go above the inset square rain shower head. Currently it has a chrome one too. Can't wait to get the new one installed. Thanks for a great product.

Actually liked this item but it broke within the first 6 weeks of use. Neither the seller nor the manufacturer will answer my emails reporting this defect. I am now not only stuck with a broken filter but have 4 filters that I can’t use. Don’t buy or deal with this company

I’ve purchased several of these and at first thought they were pretty great as they did help soften the water which made my skin less itchy. I have hard water. The problem is the unit itself. The first one could not be unscrewed as to replace the filter and the second one started leaking one day, randomly, which caused water to spray all over the outside of the shower making a watery puddle on the carpet outside of the shower. I’m pretty displeased and will be looking for another brand.
