Sailor 11-1222-220 Fountain Pen, Professional Gear, Slim, Silver, Black, Fine Point

The pen came nicely packed, with 2 cartridges and documents in the box. No converter is included but for the price (60 bucks for a 14k nib), I am not expecting a converter anyway. The pen itself is small, more towards a pocket size pen but can still write unposted for people with small-to- medium hands. It is shorter than Lamy 2000 both capped and uncapped. The nib (fine) is a true Japanese fine, which is on the finer side (I would say finer than a western EF). It does give a “toothy” feedback relative to Lamy 2000 or pilot 743/845, not it is not scratchy at all. In a way, it writes and feel like a pencil, if you know what I mean. Perfect for everyday use. Again for the price, it beats most, if not all, 14k pens. highly recommended for people who prefer finer pens with more feedback.

Absolutely nice pen. But this pen (and other Sailor pens) has a special "pencil feedback" feature. I have super smooth Pilot Heritage 912, Pilot Custom 74, but I purchased this Sailor especially because of this feature. The barrel is a little short, but it is very convenient to hold and write with attached cap. Medium nib is amazing. Width of line is similar to Pilot Custom 74/912 Medium.

fabulous pen but included cartridges run dry quickly if not used weekly; unlike my Pelikan that still works fine after month of no use, but using an ink draw system on Pelikan. Maybe I'll try the ink converter with my Sailor to see if better. Decent price for this shorter fountain pen.

I have a 21K Sailor nib and I wanted to see how the 14K fares, both in F. The nib is not quite as good as the 21K in feedback. It's a little more toothy but well worth the attribute of positive. The ink flow is about the same, very competent in handling all writing styles, at the same time controlling ink distribution to a true F nib on rough paper. I like this pen very much. I come from Pilot line and I think I am a convert now. I have one 1911S coming. I will buy the big Pro Gear next.

Have a wide range of fountain pens from Mont Blanc to aurora. This is by far the smoothest nib I have ever used. Great ink flow as well.

Very nice. The Slim model is a little small for my hands though; and I have rather small hands for a man. Posted, it is OK. so maybe think of it as a compact or pocket pen with a clip. Very nice writer if you like the fine Japanese nib.

Easily the smoothest, most pleasant nib I've written with. Amazing finishing as well, resin holds up very well to scratches so far (had for about 2 weeks and no scratches at all). Wish the converter held more but eh. Could see how it would be a little small for some hands but posted not a problem for me, actually like that capped it's much shorter than my Lamys and TWSBIs.

I ordered this and when it arrived I was excited to see it. I opened the box and it was empty. I put in a service request and promptly received the replacement. The pen is a great size for everyday carry and is smooth as silk. Thank you for the great service and great pen!
