LCD Display Replacement for Apple iPad Mini Model A1432, A1454, and A1455, Not for iPad Mini 2

I broke the LCD display while replacing the glass. Got careless and in a hurry separating things from the glue. Fortunately I followed the glass maker's instructions and tested the iPad before gluing in the glass. Once the glass is removed it's fairly simple to replace the LCD. Works like new. WARNING, WARNING. It appears there's a nearly invisible film protecting the display, which needs to be removed before closing up the device. I did test the screen before gluing in the digitizer glass, but didn't notice the film, so there's a barely visible "E3" in the top corner of the display. I'm not going to open it up to fix this. This is my stupidity, but the manufacturer could have made the mark more noticeable.

I only purchased this LCD replacement after I cracked the original taking it off the Ipad. After I had this installed and the Ipad put back together the Ipad started and worked great. The only issue I have is the LCD not sticking to the Ipad that great. There are a few parts where the screen is raised above the border of the Ipad. But I have a protection case on the ipad so the raised portion is not that noticeable. For those DYI people out there, buy some 5 minute apoxy and dab it around the edges of the case. Just make sure you turn the ipad and check that it works correctly before you glue it down. The pry tools that came with the LCD are ok, but you can buy a more functional set for about $5, I would recommend you buy those also.

This is not the easiest repair but by watching a couple of videos I was able to replace the LCD my son fried. The key is to keep testing to see if the glue has softened by pulling firmly but not to hard with a suction cup. Apply heat steadily with back and forth motion along edge. It will be obvious when the glue has softened. The glass will pull away slightly. Then slide in plastic tabs and work slowly around edge. There are a lot of tiny screws and don't loose tiny insulators. But this replacement plus right in and works great.

Looks dull compared to the original and is pretty tough to install... Not for the faint of heart... the power button (top) did not operate correctly after installation... not sure if it is a screen problem or something that I did during the install... Either way, it wasnt worth taking it apart for just that... It is a livable issue... Use gorilla rubber adhesive as those stickers are useless... New screen did not fit flush like the original either... Sticks up a little bit... Works fine and was worth fixing instead of trashing the ipad, but, I would likely try a different source next time to see if the result was better...

I just revived this 30 minutes ago. I bought my LCD here. Anyways i needed my LCD to be replaced by next week and I know how to do it my self. Well as I was about to fix it, I notice the new screen from here had some lines across the screen before even installing it. So after installing it I wasn't surprised that the screen was black and showing random colors. Really disappointed even tho the bag it came in said "Amazon Certified" 😒 now I have to wait for a refund and all that stuff & try another seller

I decided to ignore the ridiculous comments on this and took a chance on this product and was gladly relieved once it was connected. The "Numbers and letters" printed on half of these comments is the protective sticker on the screen that they didn't peel off. LOL! Its not that easy to install for the average person but have patience and be gentle because this LCD is SOLID for the value. Id buy again anytime.

Works pretty good. It has one small area that's kinda washed out, almost like dead pixels. But the color is good and it looks nice and clear. Wasn't packaged very securely. Had just a bubble mailer and some plastic over it. Thankfully it didn't get broken in shipping but easily could have. If you aren't concerned with the grey pixels, it's a pretty good deal.

Worked like new for about seven months, then the button and touchscreen started acting flaky. I removed it again and checked the ribbon cable for pinches and redid the anti-static tape. Problems remain. This is the second iPart digitizer I have had problems with.
