Just the right amount of starch.
Love the light weight of this starch. No “snow left Behind like regular starch leaves. This is a quilters dream product.

Works well and smells good too
I'm not entirely clear on why this is a "starch alternative" and not a starch, but it certainly works as well as my old standby Niagara Spray Starch while being quite a bit cheaper. The fragrance is pleasant. While, true to its claim, I have not noticed any flaking, it does leave a shine on cotton if you use a lot of it. Also, I remain skeptical of the "leaves no residue" claim on the bottle. After a couple months of use, you'll notice some residue on the ironing board. It's nothing alarming and not worse than any other spray starch, but it is not zero. Overall, it's good stuff at a good price, and I recommend it without hesitation.

Mary Ellen Spray Starch is great for quilters!
I love this starch! It is the best I have found for quilting. The Tea Rose does not really smell like roses, but I like the scent better than some of the others. When it gets hot because of the iron and the smell fills the room you need a scent you do not mind!

Great Deal!
I have always liked Best Press and use for all my quilting. I enjoy the smell of this particular type and found it was a very good price on Amazon. With a Prime membership, I got a pretty heavy item at a good price and no shipping. Great Deal!

Don't stop and smell these roses
The functionality of this product is great but not the smell. The idea of having a rose-scented spray starch really appealed to me but I couldn't find it in the stores to try out. I gambled and ordered the large size from Amazon. I now know why it isn't sold in stores anymore and why they seem to be fazing it out-it doesn't remotely smell like roses. It smells salty and chemical-like to me. I traded it in for Linen Fresh and I LOVE the scent.
