Worth the money
This unit works very well. I was able to add refrigerant to an older system that I replaced a leaking Schrader valve in. This was great for me since I already have a number of cans of freon. My old gauge pack from 30+ years ago is too brittle to use, so this was a great fit for me.

Saw this set on UTube "how to" and it worked great
Saw this gauge on an online video of how to fix my 3 1/2 year old Frigidaire side by side refrigerator that wasn't freezing. Authorized repair said $624. The R124a Freon was low on the closed system. With video guidance, the bullet valve and this gauge we were able to pierce the copper with the bullet valve and read the pressure. Using the same valve & connecting to gauge, we carefully add R124a (from auto repair store) and restored my frig to 100% working order. Did buy thermometers to check temps in freezer & frig. That was 11 months ago. Thanks Vegas Romaniac. Recommend these items.

Charged low side to -2 lbs vacuum. Upright gets to-5 and chest freezer will get to -15 deg

It is a good gouge but the valve not so much.
The quality of the gauge is great. It was dead on zero out of the package. However, the valve is not great. It is thinner compared to others and after using the correct insert, tightening it all the way down it was still too loose. So I had to use a flat sander on a belt and take a few thousand off. I was then able to securely tighten it down.

It Saves my 11 Years Old Samsung Refrigerator!
Water came out from the freeze! Ices are melting inside! We first rush to order a new fridge. However, wrong model of fridge was delivered. After we canceled the order, I started launching my research online and learned that if everything is functioning fine but the freezer is not cold enough to make ice, then the fridge may run out of freon. I saw some complains about the quality of the piercing valve after I placed my order. However, it works fine for me. My 11 years old fridge can produce ice again. Yeah!
