I have made many recipes from this book that have been outstanding.I bought this book because our family needs lower carbs and calorie friendly foods. (Diabetic) I was on the hunt for cakes that were not gummy or tough texture, which most Splenda cake recipes are. On my hunt, I tried to learn about how sugar plays a part in baked goods, learned also fat plays a big part too, none of which we need at home - sugar and fat. Most Diabetic recipes are either low in sugar, but high in fat for the doll size serving, or low in sugar, low in fat, and awful in texture. Exhausted from researching and many books that I had bought hoping, "this one will be different", I found the Unbelievable Splenda Desserts book, which is the same author as this book, looked over the cakes and saw just a wee bit of sugar along with Splenda and a wee bit of fat. It looked promising and it was great! I am convinced you need a tad bit of sugar and fat to make a cake light and good texture. How much sugar was it? 2 Tbsp. and thats the entire recipe, which was 8 servings. so, that means less that a teaspoon of sugar per serving. I'll trade that for good texture anyday. The fat is the same story, not much, and huge results.I had to have more recipes and I ran to buy this book, which delivers just like the Unbelievable Desserts does.This book has more than just desserts. Quick breads and muffins, side dishes, entrees, beverages, and sauces! (and more, just couldn list everything) oh the sauces! I cant wait to try the Teriyaki Sauce or the Sweet and Smoky BBQ sauce.What I've tried:p.163 Simple Southwest Salmon is simple and delicious. Slightly sweet with a Tex Mex flavor, its perfect. we all loved it.p.246 Pineapple Upside-Down Cake is just perfect. Perfect! Better than my favorite recipe I made for years, and that was hard to beat. This whips up so much easier too. The cake texture is light, moist, and such a fine crumb. perfect ending with serving that salmon recipe I mentioned as the main dish.p.167 Basic Yellow Cake is perfect just like the texture and crumb of the Pineapple Upside-Down cake. Dallops of Cool Whip Lite and some fresh berries, simply delicious!(Ive been making Marlene's recipes a lot, just those above are what I've tried in this book. I cook out of all her books)There are so many recipes I want to try in this book:Bourbon Chickenassorted salad dressingsCocktail Meatballs with Sweet and Sour SauceZebra BarsKey Lime PieSweet Cheese Strudel........ and sooo many more I cant type them all.Get the book and start cooking. everyone will think you're a great cook and cant wait for more.

GREAT RECIPES
I liked the recipes in this book, most will work for me as I am a type2 diabetic, some of them I'm not sure I should try unless my levels are low, but I like that this book covers everything like not only desserts but main dishes too, I just got the book so I haven't done any of the recipes yet, but look forward to trying them.

Good Splenda cookbook
The recipes were very good if you must use artificial sweeteners. I found the breads and cakes a little dry so I'm working on those recipes. I would recommend at least a little sugar, if possible, for making breads or cakes, as they otherwise don't brown correctly.

Used Book in Great condition
This book arrived quickly; in the condition as described by seller. I like that it has the nutritional information listed for each recipe. I plan on trying the recipes using Splenda and other sweetners as well. I have purchased from this seller before; and would recommend them. The price was great too!

Another great book
I collect cookbooks. My favorites are those that help me to eat helthy and loose weight. I especially reccomend Marlene Koch's, Joanne Lund's, and Hungry Girl for easiest recipes. The Looney Spoons are great for just fun reading, too.

Great Book
How do I make how to book reviews unique when they all need to say the same thing? I won't try. This is a good book which covers the subject well. If you like good books which cover the subject well, then try this one.

A Very "Sweet" Addition to any Kitchen's Library!
This is a 'must' if you like cooking w/o sugar...or are diabetic. [Some people can taste the difference if a substitute sweetner is used, but since I can't, I can rely on this book when the 'sweetooth's' come sniffing around for something to satisfy that craving! Thanks...Marlene Koch!
