Mexican hot chocolate is one of my favorite drinks for the cold season, but this cinnamon and clove piqued my curiosity, and I bought some to try. It's soooo good, I bought more to stock up. My kids love it too!

This traditional chocolate cake in perfect condition and not broken. I noticed theres a pattern, the ones that melt and break are the cinnamon ones. The traditional one comes in perfect condition and tasting fresh.

This item arrived completely melted, like a liquid form. It was clearly stored and transported and extreme heat. I cannot use it as bars, and now it says that I cannot return it.

I fell in love with this drinking cocoa in Colombia when I spent several months living with my in-laws with my daughter so that she and I could get to know her father’s family and that we could learn Spanish. Every morning, Abeulita would wake up early to make arepas con queso, coffee, this cocoa with lactose-free milk, and changua- the breakfast soup typical in Bogotá. Usually, I would have scrambled eggs with my cocoa instead of the soup. I have seen on TV a food travel program that showed the cocoa in Bogotá made with water, this cocoa, and cheese. I never encountered that, nor did I ever here of such a thing. I was thrilled when I found I could get this here on Amazon, because I am no longer married to the guy from Colombia and have no plans on returning in the foreseeable future. This is similar to what is marketed as Mexican Cocoa, but the amount of cinnamon included is nominal. Mexican cocoa is extremely heavy on the cinnamon, which I didn’t mind until I had this cocoa. I do have the traditional pitcher and wooden blender that you spin in the hot milk by spinning it back and forth between the palms of your hands, but I usually use an extra large Pyrex measuring cup in the microwave and then an electric stick blender. Quicker, easier, and cleanup is a breeze. My ex came over every day for a week at the end of January after I had surgery to bring our daughter to school. I made myself cocoa as I made her chocolate chip pancake with real maple syrup that she eats every morning before school. I gave him a cup each morning, which thrilled him. He was excited to learn that he could get it here!

While the product tastes like it should, the chocolate bar itself wasn't divided neatly like it should be. It was broken and crumbly, almost as though it were melted and then frozen back together. Makes portion control a hassle. This was our second order, as our first one was destroyed in transit. Both orders came in flimsy bags, would've been better if it came shipped in a box.

En mi viaje a Colombia de las cosas que más ame fue el chocolate caliente, asi que lo busqué aquí por Amazon y ¡lo encontré! Es riquísimo y el sabor es igual al que probé en Colombia. Sugerencia incluyan las variaciones sin azúcar por favor 🙏
