Does putty melt or stain items

Don't leave it laying fabric or carpets, it will melt into it and is almost impossible to remove.

Does the color come off putty?

Had these for almost a year and never had color come out of putty. Even left them on paper and still no color transfer.

What are the ingredients? I have a GF kiddo who can't play with play-doh.

The only component I find shown on the container is silicon. There is no ingredient list-only the comment that it is silicon-based.
