I have a 10 yo boy who is nonverbal and has autism. He has a number of sensory issues. It was the first day I sent him to school wearing this cap. I got an email from his teacher that he was focused all day, and that he didn't even have to sit in his bungee-type bouncy chair, but he sat in the regular classroom chair today. He also didn't hit at his head once. She felt the cap was what made a very noticeable difference. Might be the best $20 I've spent! It was also cute. Can't tell it's a special purpose.

My grandson's therapist recommended a "weighted" baseball cap to help with head movement back and forth. My grandson is on the spectrum with Autism. Was not sure he would wear or like it. He loved it.. he wore the hat sideways, backwards, and forward. The cap is adjustable and he will be able to use for a long time. The price was reasonable and nice looking. I would recommend this baseball hat.

Purchased this for my son, who has Autism. He head hits when upset and frustrated. I hoped it would help apply weighted pressure to his head to eliminate the head hitting. It did just that. It also helped him self regulate by finding other weighted things to help him. It’s grwat quality too

I love it because my 2nd grade student with autism wears this hat. Per parent report, student loves head squeezes, so, we tried this weighted cap in hopes that it decreased his behaviors, and YES, when worn on a schedule, his behaviors have decreased and his focused has increased! He wears it for 1.5 hours then off for 1.5 hours throughout the school day.

Enjoying this so far... we also ordered a shirt from the same company. Our son is 6 yrs old with HFA and significant sensory processing issues. I let him discover the hat on his own, having just left it around the house. He wears it for periods of time then takes a break.

We got this cap a little over a week ago and it has helped a great deal. My son is 8 years old and it fits great.
