My family and I have gone through probably dozens of rice scoopers over the years. Smooth ones, pebbly ones, self standing ones, cute shaped ones, the ones that come with the rice cooker... this one puts the rest to shame. It has great heft, feels super sturdy, and has a fantastic (and much longer than typical) handle. We liked it so much that I was going to buy a second one in case this one broke, but then realized that it's so well made that it will possibly last longer than I will...

Safe to use with Le Creuset rice cooker (or other pans needing a rubber paddle). I love it and use it every time I make rice. It fluffs the rice up perfectly!

Impulse buy and worthy of the wait. Sturdy, handsome, ergonomic. Does exactly what it was intended for. Strong enough to break up ground beef, indispensable stirring and serving for spaghetti sauce. Was worried black silicone? would melt—no issues so far. Real wood handle is a bonus, perfect length!

All the online documentation lead me to believe that this was going to be made in France.Well, the packaging says its made in China. Nothing against well made Chinese tools, I just dont like being mislead.To other amazon shoppers who care: Country of origin = China.

Very solid and effective. I've been coating for years using the plastic rice spoons that come with rice cookers, and while they work, they feel a bit flimsy. This version works great, doesn't stick, won't scratch a nonstick container, and feels like an actual tool.
