Great bag, holds everything I need for a race.
This bag holds everything I need for a race, with some room to spare. There are lots of pockets and compartments to store and sort everything. The helmet pocket has a stretchy mesh liner so that items in the neighboring pocket can use the empty space of the inside of the helmet but be kept separate. There is even room inside for bike / run shoes and a water bottle. The top has a nice padded pocket for sunglasses. And side pockets for quick grab items. My only complaints are that the front two pockets have a pair of small holes between them, so items can move around, and that the wetsuit pouch seems like it would tear easily. I had heard of this latter issue ahead of buying, so just make sure to handle it with some care and have had no problems.

Ultra Tri Bag ROCKS even if you’re not a triathlete!
I’m a road cyclist and bought this bag for weekend trips. What initially caught my eye was the helmet compartment - I’ve been using a basic North Face backpack and have to tote my helmet separately. Got this bag on Tuesday and immediately saw that it would work beautifully. I have a three day bike trip starting today and was able to pack a bunch of stuff: helmet, gloves, cycling shoes, a bunch of Clif Bars and Shots, bike computer, Varia, power cords, two extra jerseys, extra pair of shorts, 2 pair Sox, wind jacket, couple of shirts, jeans, undies, bra, iPad, big toiletries bag, and two water bottles (whew)! Incredibly there’s still room to spare if I need it.Just a great bag and if you’re a traveling cyclist, a must have and well worth the $160 price tag.

Excellent backpack
I had a $20 TYR swim backpack for nearly 3 years and I was ready for an upgrade. I am really glad I did. This backpack has lots of space. Smart helmet compartment in the back. 2 large zipper pockets with loads of room in each. Also, I was surprised to find a wet bag inside (I guess I missed that in the initial scan). Love the chest clips and even though it fits so many things it feels like a regular pack, not too bulky. Highly recommend if you want to spend the money.

First impressions are good but $160 is a little much
I have only had this bag for about a week but so far so good. I will update the review in 6 months or so to see how it holds up but my initial impression is:Overall great quality - and it should be for $160. It serves its purpose of giving all my tri gear an organized place so that it isn't scattered all around the house or in closets. The zippers are great and the material feels very high quality. It is also super comfortable - on the same level of comfort to my Gregory Baltoro 65 backpacking bag that set me back $300.An unexpected bonus is that the sinch straps on the sides are a great place to hold your full-size bike pump to transport as needed.1. I am giving it 4 stars to start with because there is only one smallish (it's big enough but barely) small item pocket at the front top. There really should be another small pocket on the side or something that you can hold small items to separate things like a wallet, phone, and keys from things like chain oil, cycling gloves, race belt, and goggles. There are two zipper components in the main pack area but they are mesh and seem a little fragile. I am using them now but am a little worried about longevity.2. The upper large compartment is not self-contained. It is basically a flap, open on either side, similar to where you would keep your sleeping bag in backpacking packs. I can't think of the reason for this as it isn't for drainage and at best, you can store a dry towel or something in there. Things like extra socks or underwear that would make sense to keep in this compartment can easily fall through to the lower section of the bag. To me, this is a pretty big design flaw and significantly affects the functionality and usability of the bag. To fix this and use it the way it makes sense to me is to put a grocery bag in this pocket to keep small clothing in so that it is easily accessible from the top access compartment. Will do my first update in August after my next triathlon.

Amazing backpack!
I really love this backpack! There’s a pocket for just about anything you need for your races. I’m also planning on using it as a carryon while traveling. Great product!
