FIVE POUNDS of Brazil nuts!?Well, I'm going to eat 'em anyway, esp as they're higher in minerals (well- higher in selenium anyway) than a lot of other nuts. May as well do so at less per pound, & not have to wonder who carrying them in the store these days. My local grocery stopped having them available as self-serve & went to prepacked everything.Eating a small handful of Brazil nuts daily adds the desirable Omega 3 fats w/o being too, too much. Kind of an odd lunch for some, but Brazils are good w small tomatoes, sugar snap peas, a tangerine, dates +/or raisins... Or chocolate!! My 45 minute drive home definitely benefits from having such energy-rebooting comestibles, too, without having to stop & get home even later, or divest my hard-earned scratch over to the Junk Food Forces That Be along the road...The unexpected & more important benefit, tho, is that these nuts actually are fresher, crisper, & a more enjoyable texture than those I bought at the grocery store (& that I've occasionally bought at the health food store that's just a little too far away) as well as my initial aim of being more affordable. I decided to empty the original packaging into a number of small glass jars, since it is going to take a few months to kill the whole 5 # bag. It wouldn't be a surprise if they remained fresh w/o repacking, however, as it is a thick, heavy-duty, strongly ziplocked bag.And now having written my appreciation for this purchase, my stomach sez it's time to eat some- Hope you get the mileage & satisfaction out of your purchase that I have.

These nuts are of good size and they are delicious. They are just lightly salted, which I appreciate. A great price for the buy. I gave 4 stars, because they seem to be not too well cleaned. And it took more than a month for them to arrive.
