Air jail
This provides the needed support. When my best friend hurt her foot we had so many things lined up to do. This allowed her to keep going safely and comfortably. It was easy to get off and on, adjustable to fit any foot as it swells and when the swelling goes down. This will allow you to keep up without the pain!

25 Years Experience
Sometimes you can make lemonade for others out of your lemons.I was an athlete in my younger years and anavid hiker. I played field hockey, lacrosse, basketball, volleyball, track.I ran everyday for 3-5 miles.I was also a teacher.Genetically I am a white female of Irish ancestry. You get the picture. Bones didn’t hold up to myenthusiasm.About 25 years ago I started having toexperience what we have fondly referred toas “Tune Up Surgeries”.Over the years I’ve had about 7.Long story short, I’m used to crutches,CAM Boots, wheelchairs, etc.Shortly after the latest surgery I smacked mynicely healing foot into the toe indent undermy kitchen sink cabinet as I was washingdishes. It was in the Boot but exposed at theend. It then got infected. In all these yearsI’ve never done that. But, now we need a newsolution.Needed Amazon quickly. Ordered this ClosedToe Boot. You could manage to get somethingIn between the bottom shoe part and the top cover if you really tried, but most things arekept out.The frame is hard plastic. If you have thickcalves it is “very” tight. But, once your in,over time it loosens up.I LOVE this thing. Showed it to my Doctoron the next visit. He was happy with it, too.It will mostly protect the toe area. Certainlymuch better than your average Boot. Andonce it loosens up a bit, it is great to wear.

The best ortho boot
I have a high deductible insurance and my orthopedic doctor said that they would have to charge me $800 for an ortho boot and recommended that I buy one from the local pharmacy or Amazon. I found that hard to believe but I visited the pharmacy anyway. They did not have my size. and I tried on several at at the pharmacy. I decided to try amazon. I purchased 4 from Amazon because I didn't know what expect. I returned the other 3 styles. I wear a size 8 1/2 USA women's shoe. I bought this boot in size medium. It worked perfectly. It came with 4 extra pads which I used to make boot fit more snugly at the ankle and to pad on right side of boot where air hoses could be felt when boot was tight. I always wore a clean ankle high sock with this boot. I adjusted to the boot the fit snugly and then pumped up the air to fill in around foot and ankle area. It was very comfortable. I have large calves and it still fit fine. The first time that you wear it, you will need to take the front off and then replace it so that you have good alignment. It has strong velcro. I rarely had to take it all apart again. The velcro all held up well. The foam held up well in the liner. The plastic shell held up just fine. It was not brittle. It did not crack or come apart in my 10 weeks of wearing it. I called the company selling this boot before I purchased it to make sure they were a real company. A real person from the USA answered the phone and was very nice. Forego getting an overpriced boot from your orthopedic and get this brand. It's light, comfortable and durable. I highly recommend. Oh, my condition was a tibial stress fracture.

This is a good boot that gets the job done.
Last week something very bad happened to my foot/ankle, and the preliminary diagnosis is a Lisfranc stress sprain or fracture. Upon the advice of my orthopedic doctor, I purchased a walking cast in anticipation of a 10 to 12 week ordeal. First impression, the United Ortho 360 Air Walker works as advertised. The most important thing for me is that it is comfortable to wear for hours on end. The next thing is a combination of support versus weight, it passes this test as well. Next is the ability to wash or clean the insert, it passes this test as well. The walking motion is about as good as you can get for an orthopedic device that is intended to limit the range of mobility while providing support. About 10 years ago I purchased a boot for Plantar fasciitis, to be honest I liked that boot more. With that said, it was much heavier but it had a more luxurious liner and was easier/quicker to enter. From a practicality standpoint the United Ortho 360 Air Walker is the better value, and much lighter.

Very Good. Toe Cover is a Plus.
By surgeon approved for when okayed for weight bearing after getting a plate & 6 pins to repair my broken ankle. Like this for travel bc it has a rigid toe cover, whereas most all others leave the toes exposed.

Needs improvement to bottom rubber sole.
This began as a 5 Star but quickly kept falling to a 1 Star for several reasons:First boot ordered, the bottom rubber heel wore out after 2 weeks. After request for refund, I was offered a free replacement which kept them at a 5 Star. Received 2nd boot & after shy of 4 weeks, the bottom rubber heel wore out AGAIN! So I requested refund & they gave me 3 days to return...Still waiting for my refund after a WEEK! Bottom line, be careful when ordering this one, if you need to wear long term, this will NOT LAST! When the rubber wears out, you will slip & fall very easily & unexpectedly when just walking. Happened to me, several times. Although the boot is light weight & priced reasonably, the comfort was mediocre because of the height of the boot. This caused a LOT of bruising behind the knee when sitting. The reason I am giving a 1 Star is because they have not returned my money as of today's date.
