Sticks so well it’ll rip the paint off your wall!
This stuff is ridiculously sticky if applied correctly. Anyone who claims it doesn’t stick do not clean the surfaces first with isopropyl alcohol. If you do that, good luck getting whatever you stuck to something back off of that surface. I have used this tape for many different applications already, and I still have a lot left. It sleeps in my “junk” drawer where it lies in wait to stick something to something else lol. It’s about an 1/8 of an inch thickness, and is easy to use. Just cut the amount desired, prepare the surfaces (both the object, and whatever you plan to stick it to), apply the tape, peel off the plastic, and BOOM! I used it to hang a picture on the wall, which in hindsight I regret. I say that because I changed my mind and when I went to pull it off of the wall, it took the paint with it. Soooo, I had to get out the drywall repair kit 🙄 and it was a whole thing. So make sure whatever you want to stick is where you really want it. I think it’s a great value since you get so much, and you can use it for a multitude of things; holding down rugs, hanging things to walls inside, or out, etc. it’s a great thing to have, just in case. Oh, and it will stick to just about anything, and it will stay stuck there basically forever. Enjoy!

🖤 Gorilla Heavy Duty Double-Sided Mounting Tape
⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ 5/5 — This tape is STRONG strong When they say heavy duty, they mean mind your business and stay stuck 😮💨💪🏾 This tape does NOT play. I used it for mounting, organizing, and securing things without drilling holes like a responsible renter 😌 Indoor? Outdoor? Weather? Gravity? This tape said I got it. Clean look, easy to use, and once it’s on… it’s ON. This is very much organized Black girl energy with no tools required ✨🖤

This stuff is sharing!
Bought this tape as possible alternative to using screws for mounting Blink cameras. Didn’t really expect the tape to hold well much less for a long time, but it is exceptional! The tape has not failed on any surface. Only downside is removing the plastic film from the tape better use. This is mind numbing difficult unless you have tiny fingers.

Reliable.
Finally a solution when all other double sided tape failed spectacularly.

Strong, Reliable, and Built to Stick
I picked up the Gorilla Heavy Duty Double Sided Mounting Tape in black for a few home fixes, and it’s lived up to its name. The adhesive is seriously strong—perfect for mounting shelves, hooks, signs, and even small tools. It bonds quickly and holds tight, especially on smooth surfaces like metal, glass, and plastic. The black color blends well with darker surfaces, making it ideal for discreet mounting where clear tape might stand out. Just be sure to press firmly and give it time to set—once it’s on, it’s not coming off easily. It’s weather-resistant too, so I’ve used it outdoors without any peeling or slipping. If you’re looking for a no-drill solution that can handle weight and wear, this tape delivers. It’s one of those tools that quietly earns its place in your toolbox.

Best Tape Ever! Nothing Falls off the Walls!
I got some of this gorilla tape for another project but it is turning out to be a great idea to have this handy for things like nightlights that your husband pulls off the wall in the middle of the night because he is trying to change the batteries. Oops, no you pull the nightlight up not off the wall to do so! Anyways after he did that he tried to push the nightlight back onto the wall and of course it had taken the paint off with it and it was not going to stick again with the original tape. So cut about an inch of this tape and was able to mount the nightlight back on the wall and it hasn't fallen off since. I did end up also changing the batteries the right way! lol I'm very happy with this tape and there is a lot to use up so I'll keep it handy! ~The Rebecca Review 11/9/2025 - P.S. I keep finding new uses for this. A little piece put on the back of a wall sign that hangs by string makes the sign sit flush against the wall. Perfect! How did I live without this tape?

Maybe Yes-Maybe No....READ the Instructions BEFORE Buying....
Ok, maybe it will work but maybe it won't....we will see and I will update in 3 months. The accompanying videos and the package advertising are somewhat misleading compared to the actual instructions. The video advertisement shows two concrete cinder blocks being held together by this tape leading one to believe it has incredible hold. Yet another advertisement photo shows the tape holding up an outside porch light attached to the brick of the house. Wonderful, right? This tape has to be super strong. The packaging even says that it will stick and hold up to 60 pounds of weight and stick to concrete, brick and metal as long as the surface is flat. Rough is ok as long as the surface is flat and level. Again, this is ALL super....maybe too good to be true? THEN, you read the instructions on the package or maybe it should be called "the fine print". The fine print says, "1 inch of tape equals 1 pound of weight". What???? *&!#*!!!! Ok, I am needing to mount a security camera to the top edge of the outside stucco wall of the house, close to the eve. The mounting plate is a round metal magnet such that one side attaches to the upper wall of the house and the other side mounts the camera. The mounting plate is circular and about 3" in diameter. The camera weighs about 6 pounds. There is no way to get more than 3.75" of tape on the mounting plate. The mounting plate itself weighs about 6-8 oz itself. So, per the instructions, the tape will hold about 3.75 pounds tops, versus an item that weighs almost 6.5 pounds. Well, I put it up and I am holding my breadth that the camera does not come crashing down. Frankly, there is not a lot of apparent difference in the stickiness and texture of this tape versus the 3M tape and the camera came tumbling down after 3 days with the 3M tape. Gorilla goes to great lengths to paint the picture that their tape is superior and I am hoping they are right. However, I think the tapes design of 1" of tape equals 1 pound of weight" should be in bold in the package advertising as that is a HUGE Condition to get to 60 pounds of holding power. Literally, it would take 60 inches of tape to equal 60 pounds of weight--that is 1/2 the roll and can you imagine what that would look like! So, the jury is still out on this. I will update this review in 90 days with great news or bad. I am rating it 3 stars due to the fine print of "1 inch of tape equals 1 pound of weight" and the uncertainty of its hold versus the items weight on a concrete wall. Additionally, it is tough to get the film off the tape to make the final stick. You will need dry hands, fingernails and a lot of patience. I had to get my wife to do it. Lastly, it is pricey at $12 per roll (small). If it works, I am fine with the price. If it doesn't, it is $12 too much. Good luck!
