Very good cartridge
I've used these 3M 6006 cartridges for many years at the plant where I worked and at home for spraying. They work as advertised when used in the appropriate 3M mask. Remember to visually check and pressure test that the inhalation and exhale valves are working properly in your mask. Without them, the cartridge doesn't help much. Repair parts are available from Amazon.

Particulate filtering is NOT N95 Compliant.
This filter does what 3M says it will do. It protects you from particulates and gases. The Seller questions section asks if this filter is N95 compliant. The seller mentions that he thinks the filter protects you against particulates. This filter -in and of itself- does not protect to the level of N95. I am guessing the seller never opened one of these because it would break the seal. Inside is the 3M fact sheet which advises you must add the 5N11 filter to achieve N95 level of protection. This info is also available on the 3M website. The picture shows the parts needed to protect to the level of N95. If you want only N95 particulate protection you don't need this filter. The 3 parts in the picture will get you that. Substitute this filter for part 603 if you want additional protection from gases. Add goggles and you have protection at the street demonstration from tear and other irritant gases. If you start to smell the gas is the time to replace it. This seems like a very good price for that level of protection.

Good for clear coats and solvents
I purchased this filter along with the pre filter to use in applying solvent based 2k clear coats over airbrush work on motorcycle tanks and helmets. Work very well.

Wrok fantastic But.....
I believe these are overkill for my application. These work fantastic (no odor at all) but a little hard to breath. Not bad but had to use some effort to get air while using there with the particle filter. I used to spray pesticides etc around yard. garden etc. - I decided to try the disc type filters for my application and that appears to work as I need. Id say this is designed for industrial applications rather then light duty around the house.

Great for handling pool chemicals
I docked a Rating star for packaging because it came in the factory sealed 3M paper pouch, but there was no outer box. So, if the pouch had a gotten any abrasion during shipping or handling and a hole rubbed through, the expiry date out be void. As it stands, my package arrived intact. I received it June 2020 and the expiration is April 2025. I plan to use this right away, but I’m pleased to see that I did receive a fresh one with plenty of shelf life on the activated charcoal. I’m using this with a 3M 6900 full face respirator. If you handle strong swimming pool chemicals, I recommend this filter. I use it when mixing muriatic acid, strong concentrations of sodium hypochlorite, etc.

Keeping me from my Darwin award
Well I've done some toilet bowl rust cleaning with HCl for an extended period of time; probably a terrible idea, but that stuff destroys rust and I'm not dead, so the filters must work. I also used some sulfuric acid to unclog the drain in the same adventure. Also, I noticed that if I put on the mask for a few minutes, without doing anything or going anywhere, when I take off the mask I can smell chlorine in the air. I'm guessing this means that the mask is filtering out enough of the ambient chlorine in the air that I notice it once taking it off. Yay the filters work, boo my air smells like a pool and I didn't even know it.

Tear gas, shmear gas
Been a victim of recent cr*mes against humanity? Organic vapor cartridges are exactly what you need when the violation of your first amendment rights lead you to being regularly gassed or pepper sprayed in the face. Show those piggies how much you want their bacon and slap these bad boys on your matching 3m respirator. They come in packs of 2 but can become overwhelmed in as little as 15 minutes of active gassing, so better to buy several sets! The next best option is the organic vapor cartridge with the pink particulate filter, but you can't rush ship those from Amazon right now. Also, don't forget your helmet and impact resistant goggles, better uncomfortable than murdered by the feds! Stay safe out there, folks.

They work well. No paint smells can be detected when using a respirator with these cartridges while spray painting.

Wow, I can't believe how amazing these filters are! I had to clean a very messy shower stall using some heavy duty chemicals in a small bathroom with zero fresh air ventilation. Using this filter with the 3M mask that I also bought on Amazon (https://amzn.to/2TWlfUj) I could NOT smell even the faintest level of chemical. Once I removed the mask, I could not believe how nasty it was, so I put the mask back on until I exhausted the bathroom for an additional few hours.

I regularly have to use really strong toilet bowl acid in toilets and showers. I had been holding my breath trying to do it as the fumes were so bad. You can't smell anything with these respirator cartridges. I feel a lot safer not having to breath the fumes. The mask and cartridges are worth the price.
