AAR Mens Scottish Tartan Kilt 13oz Highland Casual Kilt for Men 11 Tartans

Just what I was looking for, this kilt is good quality and looks good. I bought it for a wedding party, simply to celebrate a friend of Irish/Scottish descent who is getting married in Scotland and dressing in full regalia.

I would have preferred heavier wool, but that would have cost more. Pleats are sewn in. Warm enough to wear outside in sub-freezing Colorado winter evenings. The 32-inch waist size is a real 32. Nothing wrong on that score. I was complimented on it by Mexicans. They wanted to know what a sporran is for, after I told them that word. It's where your wallet and keys go, as kilts don't have pockets. Get a "full face" animal sporran. Badger is scarce, but coyote or fox is almost as good. Is anything worn under the kilt? Boxer shorts help keep things warm Down Under. Ordered on December 27, arrived on January 2.

This is a good starter kilt for someone who is not ready to jump all in. As mentioned in other reviews, the faux leather straps are not the best material, and are already starting to feel weak, the buckles are not the best quality either. I have worn it a dozen or two times this month, and it does look nice and is comfortable. I would not recommend for daily/ heavy use as the material does seem like it would wear quickly. Overall, for the price point, I would buy one again as a backup. It would also be nice if there was a selection of clan patterns, but you can get close.

Better than expected for the price. I measured above belly button (relaxed - 40”) and should have ordered a couple inches less (38”). The belts give plenty of range and I was at the last loop. You won’t be disappointed.

Bought two of these and one arrived with a broken buckle. I'll update this review if the seller mails me a replacement buckle. But somehow more disappointing is the fact that this is NOT full cotton-lined as advertised; it's got an obviously viscose liner that's only 6" long, and no lining anywhere else. Material is nice otherwise, for acrylic. As for fit, we followed directions and found the kilts just-barely fit as measured at belly button.

It is for a party. It fit the need perfectly

I bought a 32 waist should of bought 34 waist, runs a little on the small side.
