Tenergy 2 Pack of 7.2V 3800mAh NiMH Flat Battery w/Standard Tamiya Connector and Charger for RC Hobbies & AEGs

Excellent battery charger set...have had it for a couple of months and use regularly with zero issues....I use it on a Tamiya Wild Willy Jeep with a brushless 3500kv motor in it and get 45-60 mins runtime with the batteries depending on the driving...Highly recommend and budget friendly setup to get you up and running!!!! Just plug in the battery to the charger and I use a rubber band for the temp wire wrapped around the battery for safety's sake and then plug into the wall...I believe if you start switching the amp button from 1-2 amp and disconnect and connect batteries when it's plugged in it could cause failure with the charger possibly, so common sense needs to be applied, this may be the issue for some with the posting of charger going out on their reviews...It's all how you use your equipment for longevity..

Needed new batteries and this included a new charger. I like that the charger is clear when the battery is fully charged. It has the appropriate connectors and adapters. Very easy to use. Takes less time to fully charge than my previous charger. Would buy again. The batteries are 3800 rather than the usual 3200 and should give more time with full charge. Highly recommended.

its overall a great charger but if it sits for a little while like a week the first time you charge a battery it will not fully charge the battery and you have to stik the battery back on charge. its really not a big deal but its not supposed to do that . I'm doing everything the directions say and it still does that. also which this is nothing the cord shown in the picture is a removable cord but the cord you get is a real short non-detachable cord (about 1 foot long) that you can't do anything with. however there is a knockout where a plug would have been where the cord goes in but nothing else. checkout my pictures you'll see what i'm talking about

I've had good luck with Tenergy batteries for other uses. These are no exception. Excellent runtime in my grandson's high performance RC truck. Dual rate charger will charge a battery in a couple of hours or take it easy on the battery if you aren't in a hurry. Great value for the money.

I was very surprised at the safety features, like the heat sensor. It also comes with attachments so that you can charge different style of connectors for the batteries.

The quality of the charger is good, no humming, buzzing or excessive heat. I did not expect the charger to have temperature compensation, that spec escaped me...nice touch! Charging times could be better, but not too bad. This is one step removed from a trickle charger/wall wart most RTR's come with, yet I am most happy with it. My son is learning about RC and this help with patience. The batteries are nicely made and so far have held up well to abuse. They seem to last per their ratings. Back in my racing days, 20 years ago, I could have spent this kind of money on a matched pack of NiCD for the price of this kit, with less capacity.

This battery was delivered on the beginning of July, but was used maybe 3 times, yesterday while I was installing it on my old RC 10 it started smoking I got really hot, I hope I can get some restitution for it, the other one and the charger are working fine, so far.

I bought this for my Axial SCX10 Jeep Wrangler Unlimited Rubicon. Awesome battery and charger. Does as it says. Pros: 1.Recharge time is quite less as compared to other chargers. 2.Two options(0.9A and 1.8A) to charge various mAH range of niMH batteries. 3.Looks tough and durable. 4.Extra connectors are given to charge batteries with various connectors. (by default is tamaiya connector) 5.Heat sensor to check the over heating of the battery. 6.Battery runs for a long time after full charge. My SCX10 runs for around 40+ mins on one 3800 mAH battery. 7.Lights to indicate battery charging,full charge and faulty battery or connection. Cons: 1.Battery is very heavy. Each weighs 500gms+(but again niMH batteries are heavy) If the weight of the battery is not a problem for you then you can go for it,u won't be dissapointed. If you want battery with much less weight then u should go for lipo batteries.
