I purchased these to take before meals, because I have a salicylate intolerance. I had read a research paper explaining how and why this worked. Basically, the body uses the same cell receptors to process capsaicin as it does salicylates. I have you fill the receptors with capsaicin, salicylates can not get in to make you sick. These work great for me. I take one before dinner every single day. These don't bother me at all. I take them on an empty stomach 15 minutes before I eat & then eat whatever I want (as long as it's low histamine & low oxalates). If you're going to try these for SI, hold off on buying these & trial by eating a LITTLE chili powder on your food like a speck or two if you're soper sensitive. If that goes well, try adding a little more. Keep adding until you are CERTAIN that it won't bother you. These pills contain A LOT of capsaicin, which in itself is high Sals & Histamine & can be very harsh on the tummy.

This dose (515 mg) is too strong for me. It upset my stomach. So I tried the 320 mg with Butcher's Broom. The 320 mg capsule does not bother my stomach at all. I am hoping this will help with constipation, but it is too early to tell. Maybe I will be able to move up to the 515 mg capsule after I take the lower dose for awhile.

At home I use the powder but when I travel it’s super easy just to use the capsules, also love this brand. Will order a few more bottles to keep in my car and purses. I use this 30 min before eating helps with digestion and energy.

Accidentally took it for the first time without food...big mistake. But with food, it does help circulate things in the tummy. I take this every day now so long as I remember too!! Just take with food or you'll experience significant burning belly pains (and maybe even hot sweats!)
