Really great fan
This fan is great! I only just recieved it today and immediately plugged it in to try. Since it's such a pricey item, especially for a fan given the current economy, I've tried to add as much as I can to this review. The highest setting is incredibly powerful, with the lowest seting providing a soft breeze and the highest being like a wind tunnel! Much better than my tower fan, and very quiet. At the highest setting, you're obviously going to get some noise, but nothing like my tower fan.It has two rotating features, left and right and up and down. You can have one or the other on, or both, which makes the fan move around and blow air all over. The manual even shows diagrams of optimal placement for various needs and comes with a warranty. If you use the rotate features, best to place it on a flat surface, since you risk it toppling if it's on something say grass, sheets etc.The best feauture, for me, is the breeze feature. It's a button which, when pressed, provides a very soft breeze, which changes in intensity (so very soft to around level 1 on the fan) for a few moments. It's really nice when working on a pc to have a constant subtle breeze that is occasionally a little stronger. The fan itself is average weight to a little weighty, depending on your physical capabilities. Since it's a spherical fan, it has a little carry handle in the back, but depending on your physical capabilities, switching it off and picking it up from beneath the sphere (around its 'neck') works fine too. It's got a decent amount of cord, and it's small enough to fit on a desk, so ideal to take into work if you need to or have it on the coffee table, etc. The design is also very sleek and unobtrusive. It comes with a remote that you could probably put on a key chain or string to keep safe, as it's got a little hole in the side, which I think it quite a considerate feature if you lose remotes a lot! The remote must be pointed directly at the fan to work, so simply pressing it in another room, for example, will not work. If you lose the remote though, it has all features on the base of the fan, which is very sturdy. All in all, an absolutely brilliant purchase and I'm really delighted with it.

Great little fan
Fantastic little fan. Very quiet on the lower settings, & definitely works well with an air conditioner to rapidly cool a hot room. It's compact, easy & hygienic to clean (wipe down surface, no buttons sticking out), it doesn't suffer from buffeting like a traditional fan (the air flow/stream is steady & constant). Having a remote is handy as well, but you do need to be at the right angle to use it.I do have some very small gripes with it, but nothing that would stop me recommending it.1. As others have mentioned, unfortunately the fan has no way of tilting/blowing lower than the surface it is placed on. But this is easily overcome by putting the fan on a lower surface, or the floor.2. I wish I could turn the lights off on it at night. I like my room to be as dark as possible at night as I sleep better that way, but covering them with black electrical tape has done the trick.3. There's no quick way to get it to recenter itself from circulation mode. You have to turn off both the horizontal & vertical swivel one at a time. All in all, an excellent product. Well worth it & would happily buy it again.

It's been said before on other fans BUT THIS IS THE BEST FAN YOULL EVER GET!!!
We have brought so many fans!! Over the past 5 years we've gone cheap, we've invested in the big brands and yet, this small, round, cute and sophisticated looking fan is the best all round that we've ever brought. Dimplex etc you have competition compared to your weak ass towers!!I don't know how, I hope to christ they don't change it as when I've got spare cash I do get one every now and then before they dissappear or change or go dearer! But this packs a punch! It actually blows out cool air when it's hot, ie recent heatwave etc. It's powerful, not loud. I mean, if you want a fan that's silent your in a dream world but compared to one's we've had its a nice wind noise, doesn't clink clank or clunk. It will cover most of a standard size room, 4 bed house, all bedrooms have them, the living room, now want 1 for the nook and 1 for the kitchen then I'll get another couple for spare.Seriously though, I have MS and heat can near to kill me. No fan has been as compact or as perfect as this one. Be realistic on what you want in a fan but this one ticks all my boxes, my husbands and my kids!To the seller/developer, change nothing!! Dont ruin an absolute gem of a product. (Slightly cheaper as always would be great lol)I rarely give good feedback!

Well built and compact, but noisy
The fan looks well designed and built, with convenient remote control. It is also very compact.Which I guess is the only reason its exisence is justified. It's very noisy related to the amount of air it pushes.Even cheap conventional fans beat it hands down. Depending on speed:- speed 1 - it's indeed almost silent but the air flow is small for anything except desk placement- speed 2 - that is how I use it - noise still OK and air flow useable- speed 3 - noise is still bearable but already distracting, and gets unpleasant character of working engine- speed 4,5 - I would only use in in factory settings, very loud.4 stars for the case when the size is critical, otherwise I don't recommend it.
