No more muddy axle tubes!!
Reasonable price. Good quality. Fit perfectly. Easy to install as part of an axle swap on a Jeep JKU. They keep my axle tubes dry and clean. Can't really see them but they look great if you look. The function of these is to prevent water and junk from entering your axle tubes AND to prevent the axle from forming rust making your seal leak.

Works as intended
These work great and as advertised. But if your running a Dana 30 out of an xj and use factory cv axles they won’t clear the boot and clamp.

Great look and functionality
These fit perfectly on my 1998 XJ cherokee. Installation was easy and they add a nice look to the axles as well! I purchased these to seal the axles better than the stock seals and add some extra strength and durability as well. I was skeptical at first, but I am very glad I purchased these.

adaptable in my MJ to the disconnect axle
I have the disconnect axle in my '90 MJ and ordered this, aware of the claim that it would not fit because the disconnect shaft is so much larger on the inboard end. But it can be made to work on the right side. I removed the grease zerk, the clip holding in the seal, and the seal. Then I 1) cut the seal so it could be installed after the shaft was in and 2) opened up the inside of the housing on the lathe sufficiently to fit over the larger shaft. I then installed the seal in the axle housing and reinstalled the axle through it now widened enough for the large inner end of the axle to pass through. Since the axle is the same small size on the outboard end, I now put the seal over the top of the axle and pressed it in carefully so the zerk hole lined up. I then installed the zerk fitting and the spring clip which holds the seal in place. I made it a point to have the slice I made in the seal upward. It might leak a little water if fully submerged briefly, but heavily greased, as it should be, I believe it is a nice solution. The only thing to remember is if the shaft needs to be pulled, you need to remove the zerk and the spring clip. first. The seal will pull out as you pull the axle! Cool!!

Do NOT fit ABS axles
Inserts into the tubes easily with a little light persuasion from a plastic hammer. Appear to work well until you install the shaft, at which point the shaft will not move. These would have created stress on the front wheels as they were binding where the shaft gets larger inboard of the inner shaft yoke. I will be claiming refund as this is not suited for the purpose on a 94 ZJ. The fact they claim it works for all 84-01 ZJs is a very big clue... ZJ didn't come about til 93.

It helps to grind a notch in the axle housing right beside where the grease nipple sits on the seal in order to make putting a grease gun onto the nipple easier in the future. If you look at the pictures, you’ll see the area on the housing next to the nipple That I ground away a little bit . Please don’t contact me with questions. That’s all I have. It’s a good product and simple to install. If you have the ability to remove the axle you will easily be able to install these. If you are not mechanically inclined, have a shop
