Hill's Prescription Diet s/d Urinary Care Chicken Flavor Dry Cat Food, Veterinary Diet, 4 lb. Bag

This food seemed to desolve my cat’s bladder stones!!! She was walking better in 2 days. Running and jumping in 7 days. It IS a bit expensive but if it SAVES your cat from needing surgery!! Well Worth it. Will update after x-rays to be sure. But her attitude says it ALL.

My elderly cat has had a lot of urinary issues over the years and his Vet prescribed this prescription cat food for him. Since he started eating this a few years ago, he has not had anymore issues. It’s the best in my opinion. 🐈‍⬛💗

It is a good product. It is way over priced. I have to have it for a cat that has UTI issues.

My poor little guy had the worst week of his life when he clogged. After a week in the hospital and several catheters, he had to have “it” surgically removed. He’s back home now and on a strict diet of wet hills S/D and the dry food as a transition while he acclimates to the wet. Trying to break up these crystals from all angels. So far, he’s completely fine and got his stitches out recently. Such a relief!

This food is expensive but it gets rid of the stones quickly and the cats seem to like the taste. Glad to find something that helps because this is such a painful thing for cats to go through. We use the wet formula as well.

My male cat was diagnosed with crystallization in his bladder. I'm glad we caught it early, as I had a cat a long time ago who actually had a full blockage from this and almost died. The vet put my kitty on this food and we haven't had any more problems. I mix it with other cat food so he won't get too bored with it, but so far, it has worked. The other cat that almost died was also put on this food and never had bladder problems again -- even lived to the ripe old age of 19 :-).

About a month ago my cat started peeing blood and was rushed to the vet. The vet diagnosed struvite crystals which had formed in the bladder. Passing the crystals caused cuts and bleeding. He also said we had caught it very early so the prognosis was good. We were told to change his diet to (initially) s/d dry food, and then after a couple of weeks to c/d wet and dry food. We did so and I am delighted to say that our dear animal healed up and has not had a relapse. He is off the s/d food now and perhaps will not need it again. But I want to thank the vets and chemists who took the trouble to understand the illness and to create this medicated product. It worked for our cat and I hope it will work for yours.
