We started using this years ago when we were “gifted” an elderly Pomeranian who was vicious when the tooth brush came out. He had horrible tooth decay and build up and breath. We could not afford to get it taken care of by a vet. We tried this as a last ditch effort and the change was obvious a week later!! We did end up finding a proper home for the Pomeranian however we have been using this with our Border Collie and his teeth are absolutely perfect. This has worked way better than any treats. We’ve seen improvements in our cat’s dental health as well!

Wow. My dog laid next to me in bed, snout-to-nose, and I was bracing myself for his rancid breath but it wasn’t there. It was amazing to be able to lay like that and not smell his breath. If we go a couple days without using it (like if someone else watches him) his bad breath returns pretty quickly. Then disappears again after a day or two of consistent use. Definitely recommend!

Great additive to the water with a nice clean smell

Well, I've been using dog water oral additive for quite a while and tried many different brands. The product arrived in perfect condition, no leakage, good packing for shipping, thanks again Amazon/UPS. Instruction are good (1 tablespoon per 32 oz of water), has minty smell and most of all, they will drink it. This is probably more for my placebo effect, so I don't gilt myself as much for perceived lack of dog maintenance!

I have 6 dogs. Since I started using this, they don’t have bad breath. I have been using this for 5 years and each year, the vet says their teeth don’t need to be cleaned. That is a huge money saver! I don’t brush their teeth. This product works. Wish they made it for people!

Easy way to provide reduction of tartar buildup for dogs

My malamute was about four months old when I decided to give this product a try. He loves to run around and do stinky things, which, consequently, would give him a bit of stinky breath. It wasn't unbearable, but there's nothing pleasant about it, either. When I got the water additive, we had recently started using a dog watering fountain that has about 2 gal capacity. Since he's still a young pup, I diluted the additive a bit more than what was instructed.It all went downhill from there.First, he started to drink from any source other than the main fountain with the additive. If there wasn't one, he would drink as little as possible from the fountain. I initially thought he might just need to take a bit to get used to the flavor, but now I wish I had taken that as a sign it was no good and stopped adding it right then and there.Second, he lost nearly all his appetite. This was shocking to me since growing mals should have nothing but a voracious appetite. Over a period of two weeks, he went from devouring everything in front of him to hardly touching his food. He would consume maybe a third of his needed intake by the end.Third, there was a weird gel buildup in the fountain any time I cleaned it. And there was a lot of it. Several other reviewers posted photos so you can see what I'm talking about. This was another red flag that I was I had taken more seriously and stopped right then and there.Fourth and Finally, my malamute started to vomit. A lot. At first I thought it might just be some puppy issue happening that day and to not worry, but it continued. This vomit was also not normal, either. Since he was hardly eating by this point, it was yellow, foamy, and slightly thicker than water. On the fourth day of it happening, he vomited three times within half an hour.I was very, very afraid for my dog at this point. These symptoms were a gradual build-up to the point where it ended in vomiting, so it had taken me a while to make the connection that this "dental health additive" was at the root of the issue. On that day where he was constantly vomiting, I thoroughly cleaned out the drinking fountain of any additive or the disgusting gel it was producing. I then hoped that he would get well on his own and I hadn't made a horrible mistake that required an emergency vet visit.After a few days, my mal thankfully did seem to go back to normal and has not had any nausea or vomiting since. He still seems uneasy about eating his food right away even after a few weeks of being free of that nasty stuff, but he does seem to be making a full turn-around.I can't say what for sure is at the cause of this whole thing, but after looking at the ingredients, it's likely that the sodium laureth sulfate is nothing but bad news. That stuff is meant to be in cosmetics and industrial cleaners, not in products designed for ingestion! SLES is known to cause nausea, vomiting, etc, along with other serious negative health effects if ingested over long terms, and is a chemical known to often be contaminated by 1,4 dioxane, which is a known CARCINOGEN.I cannot emphasize enough to NOT give this to your dog!!! If bad breath is a big enough concern, then look for a more expensive and better quality product rather than this cheap poison.

This product takes a few weeks of use to work but definitely lessens the tartar on the teeth and freshens the dog's breath.

Lo compré por que el que usaba antes ya no salía d Amazon y leí muy buenos cometarios. Decidí arriesgarme y vaya sorpresa.Tengo 4 perros , dos chichuahas , un beagle y una cocker.El chihuahua adulto horrible olor de hocico y mucho sarroLas otras perritas son más jóvenes pero con aliento muy feo.Lo puse en su agua y a los pocos días noté que el aliento no olía tan horrible como en otras veces y después de como 8 días a la chihuahua de 5 años no le olía a nada el hocico, no olía a menta ni nada pero no olía feo . Y es que ella le gusta lamber todo y a todos.Al chihuahua de 11 años , que es al que peor le olía el hocico y tiene mucho sarro, ya no le apesta tan severo el hocico.Las otras dos perritas no son de lamber a las personas , pero e notado que tienen más limpios los dientes.Aún no ha pasado suficiente tiempo para ver si realmente ayuda con el sarro, pero al menos el aliento si ayudo increíblemente .Lo pedire de nuevo para siempre tener disponible.

I read all the positive reviews and it exceeds my expectations. I put the foam-product on a baby-tooth brush and saw a 100% improvement or total disappearance of tooth discoloration within a few days (I use/brush small amount twice per day). THIS saved me from a pending $400 dental-cleaning surgery. Eventually, once per day will be enough, there is still work to do, The results are absolutely STUNNING! I AM BEYOND GRATEFUL for this wonderful company for making this product available to home-owners who cannot always afford the ridiculous Vet prices;(especially during this Pandemic when Vets in my area seem to be in "price-gouging mode".)
