My plants are all happy and thriving (at the moment). None of them are waterlogged or dry out too fast. I take complete ownership of any poor standards of plant-care present. Happy with the amount of soil received for the price too - nice big bag! Only giving 4 stars as I did have an infestation of fungus gnats in all my plants that (I believe) was caused by eggs in the soil but that was easily dealt with via mosquito-dunk-ed water (tablets) and sticky traps.

Was hoping this house plant potting mix would be good but sadly all my plants ended up with gants. My house is full of them now. Its annoying as I work from home and find them flying around my face all day. Had to purchase sticky pot fly traps to catch them and meanwhile 3 plants have died. When I removed them from the pot the whole interior was crawling with insects. No the plants were not over watered as we never had this issue before. Sad to have lost 3 plants that have been in the family for years. Have gone with coco coir instead to try and save the other plants and so far no gnats. Really disapointed. Never expierenced this before. Even the bag was full of tiny flies, and sticks and random rocks. Will not be purhcasing this again.

After about a month of using this for my new seedlings, I found mushrooms growing out of my yucca plant which has resulted in trunk rot and also an infestation of fungus gnats. Having checked the open bag, which I sealed and put in a storage area, they are swarming around it (only just found them today), but I have been struggling to get rid of the gnats in the plants. I have lost a seedling which was growing new shoots as the larvae eat the baby plants. And I've also lost my yucca plant. I have had to discard the rest of the bag which still had 2/3 of it left so it was a complete waste of money. I have spent money on fly trays lava-lite and mozzie dunks to no avail. NOT IMPRESSED, THESE SHOULD BE TREATED WITH AN INSECTICIDE OR NEMATODES OF SOMETHING BEFORE PACKAGING. Shame as the compost itself is probably really good but my house is swarming with these little critters.
