Crazy Good: A Book of CHOICES
F**K
A crazy good read
Quote from the author: "Crazy good goes out beyond what anyone has anticipated. Like unexpected showers falling on a dried‑out land. No one is really ready for the joy it brings." And you know what, I felt that joy.As a long-time fan of Chandler, I found some of his books to be AMAZING, others did not resonate as deeply with me (at least at the time). I picked this one up after my mastermind buddy raved about it - truth be told, she raved about the last 1/3 of the book. So I read this book with that "expectation" (how ironic given Steve's views on that word) but alas, I am glad to be disappointed because this book was fantastic start-to-finish.I made my highlights public so you can see the sections where the new insights showed up for me. I love how easily Steve relays his thoughts through stories and without ever beating around the bush. It's crystal clear, and it is like everyday language. And his writing voice, as well as most of his examples and the way he describes them, are nothing short of both poignant and hilarious. From Crazy Good, I had the new insights as well as reinforcements of many older ones. Some of those insights are below:- Choices. You have choices. Nothing grand about this idea but the way he describes it makes it stick even more. Make a choice.- I paraphrase: You don't have to believe in yourself. Just do the work. Test. Experiment. Go out there and do it.- Do one minute a day. You can do one minute. Anyone can. Of the thing that is calling your name.- How coaches among others waste so much time, and how this work can be fun and effortless.- And the biggest one of all: You do not need to create a positive belief or mindset about the thing you want to do or achieve - You Just Go Do It. Over and over again until you get it. Like riding a bike. Or learning to walk.I learned so much about this great book that I'm thinking of buying a physical copy too. Fantastic for anyone feeling stuck, especially if you are a coach, and anyone who is open to transformation, not more information.Thank you, Steve, for a CRAZY GOOD BOOK!

If you're looking to go from a kinda-sorta-alright life to a fired up, crazy-good awesome one, I think you'll love this book.
The media could not be loaded. "There is bad and there is good . . . And then there is crazy good.Crazy good is something that goes far beyond expectation that you've got goosebumps on your arms when you see it.So imagine what it feels like to live it.Most people (myself included, for most of my life) just ping-pong between bad and good. We are bad at something, and then we are good at something. And when we ping-pong over to good, it isn't even that good. We see it as fairly good, and most often it's just barely good enough. But it never wakes the world up.The world wakes up from something so much better than it needs to be. That's when the flash of astonishment goes up and down our spine."~ Steve Chandler from Crazy GoodI love Steve Chandler. And I love his new book. After interviewing Steve several years ago, we instantly hit it off and began working together immediately. He coached me for two years and has been one of THE biggest (positive) influence in my life.Steve integrates everyone from Ken Wilber and Nathaniel Branden to Byron Katie and Alan Watts in a SUPER practical way and with an incredibly funny, self-deprecating style. He's a former suicidal alcoholic (!) who realized that he had a CHOICE about how he would live the rest of his life. And that's what this book is all about: The CHOICES we make on a day-to-day basis that determine our destiny. Steve walks us thru 15 of them.As a guy with a father who struggled with alcohol and a grandfather who struggled with alcohol + killed himself (not to mention as a guy with my OWN past struggles with feeling lost and hopeless), I, like so many others, find Steve's hero's journey extraordinarily inspiring. As he says, if HE can get to where he is, we all can.If you're looking to go from a kinda-sorta-alright life to a fired up, crazy-good awesome one, I think you'll love this book. It's PACKED with Big Ideas. Short little mini-chapters full of goodness. Here's to going from good to CRAZY GOOD!(More goodness--including PhilosophersNotes on 250+ books at http://www.brianjohnson.me)

Everyone should read this book.
This book has totally changed my life. I now wake up every morning feeling so happy and peaceful my husband is getting worried. I used to be a very angry, resentful person, I now realize I love my husband, my kids, and my life, which is getting better and better each day.Reading this book will open you up to the good in life, I do not know how Mr Chandler has done it, but just reading this book and changing the way you look at your day to day life can bring about the most wonderful changes.

Crazy Good! Easy to read and take in but at the same time, the author makes some really good points about the choices we can make in life. One of the sets of choices also helped me to better understand one of my friends.

Written in simple language. Hardly any technical words. No scientific or psychological jargon. Just good reading for a lay person like me.
