kerosene oil is not required during using the glass cutter, it can work without it, oil can protect the cutter head, you can use other lubricants to replace the oil.

Q: Can it cut sculptural (as opposed to flat) glass?

Depending on the type of glass, and the shape, you might be able to cut it with a wet saw or possibly a ring saw with a heavy ring blade. Regardless of glass or cutting method, patience would be key. Go slow!

Q: Can I cut a bottle lengthwise?

No - get a diamond cutting blade for a dremel

Q: At the cut, is it smooth enough to drink out of if you cut a wine bottle in half and use the base as a glass?

NO it is NOT safe to drink out of it until you use the sandpaper on the new cut edges on all edges inside and out. Then you can drink from it.
