I recently ordered a HeroForge character for a friend's birthday, and as I hadn't painted in quite some time, I wanted to get some practice in before starting the real thing. I ordered a selection of Nulzur's minis and figured they'd do nicely for practice, as I didn't care about them and it wouldn't be a major issue if I messed them up.Whilst they did the trick, the reality is that they were actually quite poor if I'd been buying them with the intention of actually using them in a live game (as I'm guessing is their actual intended purpose) - for starters, the quality wasn't great - weapons etc were bent straight out of the packaging, and took quite some time to set straight.On top of that, whilst they came pre-primed, I can only assume that said primer was applied with a hosepipe, as pretty much all the figures I had significant loss of detail due to the heavy coat of primer applied. I'd rather have had them unprimed and done the job myself than have to deal with trying to guess where lines in clothing were when it came to painting.Overall, they were fine for me, as I'd specifically purchased them to be throwaway minis to practice on - had I purchased these with the intention of doing a good job painting them and bringing them to a table to play, I'd have been very disappointed indeed.
