Good cutter
Nice heavy duty cutter. I just use this at home, so not comerically, and it exceeds any performance I may request from it. Cuts well, feels nice and solid.

Quailty Paper Cutter for Home or office use
Amazing Guillotine Paper Cutter. The 18" size provides ample space to cut various sized paper. It has good weight to it and can cut about 25-30 pieces of paper at once. I love that it has a nice safety rail that you can line your paper with for more precision cutting. The blade is sharp, and the handle has good weight and torque. I would suggest paying a little extra and buying this over the standard budget cutters available. You will definitely get more bang for your buck.

Cuts plastic bags like a hot knife through warm butter.
I purchased this paper cutter for one reason. To cut heavy duty commercial plastic vacuum seal bags from a roll. Using scissors is extremely time consuming, tedious, and precarious at best. As it’s virtually impossible to cut them strait. This paper cutter does the job flawlessly and perfectly every time in seconds. Saves me a ton of time and effort. And now allows me to make my bags into any size I want. I haven’t tried paper in it yet but the blade is sharp. It rides on the cutting surface like you’re sharpening a sword and it’s heavy duty and built well. So I have no doubt it will cut paper as advertised. And I’m completely satisfied with the price. I’m confident that this paper cutter is going to last for years.

I had better paper cutters
I was really hoping this paper cutter would be a reliable tool for my crafting and office needs, but unfortunately, I’m not pleased with the accuracy of the cuts. While the design is decent and it feels sturdy enough, it consistently cuts slightly crooked, even when I take my time to line the paper up carefully. I’ve tried repositioning and double-checking the alignment with the guide, but the results are still off—especially noticeable when trimming multiple sheets or needing precise cuts for projects. For basic or casual use, it might be fine, but if you need clean, straight, professional-looking cuts, this might not be the right tool. On the plus side, the blade is sharp and it does cut through paper with ease. But the lack of cutting precision really defeats the purpose, especially for anyone using it for scrapbooking, card-making, or detailed office tasks. I really wanted to like it, but I can’t recommend it for anyone who needs accurate, straight cuts.

Faulty design
Let me preface this by saying I have used paper cutters for over 25 years. My last paper cutter was a cheap plastic one that lasted me over 15 years. I was trying to replace that one with this one, but read on to see what a waste of time and money that was.... At first, I thought it was user-error on my part. I use a paper trimmer to cut product labels for my business and I need the labels to be straight. When I finally figured out that it's the BLADE that is crooked, my Amazon return window had passed by two weeks, so I contacted the company directly - but NOT the one listed on Amazon! The website link for the company page on Amazon took me to a completely different company that sells lighting and camera supplies, so I had to do a google search to find the actual company! After contacting the company, they sent me an "upgraded" paper trimmer. The new trimmer had the SAME faulty blade (see pictures)! It bows out in the middle and doesn't cut in a straight line! Not only that, but the measurement lines were incorrect and so when I lined up my paper by the lines on the board, it was cutting one edge too long and the other was too short! So I contacted the company again. I let them know that either their design or manufacturing is faulty, sent them pictures and explained what was going on. I basically got an apology email back saying that they don't have another option for me. I replied to see if I could get a refund and they completely ghosted me. My last email to them was in April 2023 and I haven't heard back from them since. At the time I'm posting this review, it is now August 2023. Do yourself a huge favor and do not buy this! My cheap, plastic trimmer that I've had for over 15 years (and was trying to replace) cuts better than this...and in a straight line! So now I'm out over $60 (because I bought it when it was more $ than it is now) and I have TWO trimmers that I can't use taking up space in my apartment. Not to mention the time, the mental energy and the money lost on the labels that I had to discard because they were crooked. This is ridiculous.

BETTER Than I had any reason to expect for the price. It is a Pleasure to use
A beautiful piece of machinery. The blade is flawlessly calibrated and never a ragged cut or (thanks to the plastic guard) a 'ride up at the end of a cut. Seriously good.

This is sharp... and not in a pretty way...
I organize a retreat where I need to make up pocket size agenda cards so that all of the cats are properly herded. After sitting at a table for hours cutting hundreds of these cards up with scissors, I decided a paper cutter was needed. Well... this thing is solid and it cuts super clean. It is overengineered for what I am doing. But... my gosh it is sharp. I have had it for over a year and cut hundreds or thousands of these agenda cards and the thing is as sharp as the day I bought it. It will draw blood if you just casually hit your hand on the blade... and it is that kind of cut that just keeps on bleeding forever! So... be careful around this thing! Guillotine is a good word for it.

everything was great. but the blade is already blunt after daily use for 2 weeks. so i am unable to say that it is value for money. i suppose it can still be useful for light use. but for me, i have already wasted a lot of paper for my stacked cuts. i need to get another to replace this.
