Surprisingly good!
My rather expensive Braun hair cutter died after just 2 years service - and Braun wanted £50+ to repair it......So, I popped it in the bin and decided to go a cheaper route. Based on the reviews, I opted for these devices from Wahl. At £28, they are a bargain. A third of the price of my Braun and everything works so much better! You get the hair cutter, a smaller trimmer, a carry case and all sorts of accessories. The hair cutter is rechargeable - with a single charge lasting for ages. The cut length is determined by which coloured guide you opt for. There is a more than adequate range to choose from! There is also a small bottle of machine oil. The recommendation is to apply a tiny drop on the blades prior to use.I found the cutter extremely easy to use and surprisingly comfortable. It's also so much quicker than the Braun. I am impressed. The smaller trimmer is battery (1x AA) powered and works great for fine trimming around the ears etc. It is a tad cheap and cheerful but, to be fair, it does the job....So, overall this package represents remarkable value for money - so why pay so much more for a "branded" product? As you may have guessed, I am rather chuffed 😀 😊

Wahl are always great for hair. The trimmer is battery not rechargeable.
I have used Wahl for years. Bought this to replace very similar old one. Had started to get blunt.Good weight and feel, and the matching trimmer. Always great quality with their hair cutters. The combs on this one seem to bee of shorter depth than my last ones. I have found that Wahl trimmer quality varies greatly, this one is good.Although I Wish I had read the details more fully.Though the trimmer is of a good looking quality, the trimmer is not rechargeable but is 1AA battery. It also does not come with any combs which usually come with the trimmer. Luckily I had not disposed of my old one so could use the combs off that.

Good shaver.
Got this to replace an old Babyliss model whose battery was unable to hold a charge after 5 years. This shaver is much more substantial, nice to hold in the hand and at last, colour coded trim parts so you can pick out the ones you use the most easily.Comes in a nice case to keep everything in one place. One odd thing is that when charging, the red charge light remains ON and never goes out even when it is fully charged. Which is totally bizarre. And a bit of a cheap oversight.

Easy to use clipper set
Bought this to replace an older clipper set. Very happy with the quality and use of the clippers. Would recommend as an easy to use set, ideal for home hair fixing, even for first timers!

Its worth every penny
The media could not be loaded. What a steal!! £24 for this high quality clippers and several guards including beard guards too… i am a women who likes to cut her hair short so i wont be using the beard guards but even still i can cut my male friends or future boyfriends hair with this alongside my head hair.I use this once a month or once every 2 months to keep my hair under control neat and tidy so the function of this clipper set is top terrier as it takes me about an hour or 2 to fully complete my hair and this device lasts so long so i never have any worries about it dying on me half way through my hair cut🥰I love that you can remove the head of the clippers to put it under hot running water and a little soap to clean it🤯

Why didn’t I buy this sooner?
There are times when you muddle along with your old gear and think “it still works, so I don’t need to replace it”. That’s what I thought about my old clippers.I’d owned a wired set of Whal clippers before but when they wore out I bought a named brand alternative (beginning with R). They were ok to start with but they seemed to get blunter and clog frequently, until it got to the point that I think they were ripping out more hairs than they were cutting. These clippers are so far beyond brilliant by comparison. They give a fast, even cut. The guards are colour coded for ease and THEY’RE WIRELESS!! It’s great that they can work wired too, but the power cable is a bit short so I doubt they’ll ever get used that wayBattery life is great. Quality is great. Kit contents is good, but the battery powered mini clipper is really noisy and as it has no guards it’s more of a gimmick than anything else - especially when the clippers themselves are so easy to use for detailing.Overall, a brilliant purchase that I wish I’d made months ago

To BALDLY go where no man has gone before...
Been using WAHL hair clippers for the past 3 decades! Majority of which have been great. Although some seem to last for years, some "die" after a few months for no apparent reason. But anyway.. this is my very first cordless.SO much easier and makes the job a breeze. Gets done in half the time. Couldn't be easier. My one complaint would be the charging. The red light indicator remains red while charging. There's no indication to tell you when it's fully charged. Also, a full charge appears to take DAYS rather than hours. Then, after about 2-3 of uses, (approx 15min tops), it starts 'groaning' that the battery is drained/ing. Strange, since even while there is an annoying 'groan' (a dull operating noise indicating little battery like left) it still seems to function well for some considerable time. Though, that said: there is a noticeable difference when using the cable. Both in the audible noise it makes and with the ease of cutting.Great concept. But much room for improvement.I will continue to always use the best, WAHL, but will definitely consider wired next time also.Side note: VERY light in hand compared with what I've been used to. Would go as far to say it feels a little bit "cheap".
