My First Cookbook: Fun recipes to cook together . . . with as much mixing, rolling, scrunching, andsquishing as possible! (America's Test Kitchen Kids) Review: Great for kids interested in cooking - We gave this to our 5 year old grandson for Christmas. He has shown an interest in cooking and baking. He has already made several recipes with his mom and dad. The whole family has fun! He loves looking at the pictures and deciding what to try next. Review: 9 year old LOVES it - I ordered 2 beginner cook books for my 9 year old. This one is the best for a young beginner. He loves baking cakes and cookies from mixes especially because he can do it independently. I wanted to give him a cook book that was at a similar or a little more complex level for him to grow some independence. This one lays everything out simply but with great information on each page. Each recipe is rated easy, medium, advanced and lists all equipment needed along with ingredients. On the following page each step is shown with simple explanations under great pictures. Today he pulled the book out and made us dipped frozen bananas by himself. With this book we also bought kid safe knives that help him us all feel comfortable with him doing all of the steps. Definately recommend for young chefs!

Great first book!
My 7 year old grandson loved this book. He’s been reading it and picking out the recipes he’s anxious to try. Very clear instructions, great photos with each recipe, easily understandable step by step process.

Great cooking techniques!
This is a great first cookbook! I’ve been using for years with my son and often buy it as gift. I cook a lot but learned so e new cooking techniques that use now. Use the oven a lot so that easier to do with kids. For example the French toast and quesadillas are winners. The cake pan pizzas are a fam fav as well Highly recommend

Granddaughter Grandmother approved
I purchased this for my 4 year old granddaughter. The cookbook offers step-by-step guides to each recipe. The recipes are simple and are of foods that most children would most likely enjoy. Ingredients are usually on hand. 3 down several more to try. I will be getting the same book for my grandson when he is 4 or shows interest.

Great Gift
First cookbook for my 5year old granddaughter. She has gotten more picky about food lately so thought this may help. (It has) She has many recipes bookmarked and has tried a few of them. She especially loves the decorated Nutella toast ideas and m&m cookies. There are other savory recipes but her eyes gravitate to sweet treats. Recipes are easy to follow and (American Test Kitchen tested) results are perfect. She’s very proud of her accomplishments.
