I was afraid it was new Elliptical and/or new control console time, ours just flashed continuously every time you turned it on. I really didn't want to get a new elliptical, I've already replaced/improved the bushings on ours, and added grease zerks to a lot of the joints, so it's better than new mechanically. A new console runs north of $370 from Sears, at that point I might as well be shopping for a used elliptical.When shopping for replacement parts I found the AC adapter to be the most commonly available part, found at several online retailers, while pretty much everything else is only available from Sears. The little light bulb went off over my head, "maybe there's a reason the AC adapter is a common replacement part?" I grabbed one of my universal AC adapters that fit the RE7.6's plug, set it for 12V, plugged it into the wall, flipped the switch on and the Elliptical "Beeped" to life again. Hurray!I ordered this replacement AC adapter, so I didn't have my universal one tied up with elliptical duty all the time, and now the elliptical is good as new again. No more flashing/blinking screen, all of the resistance settings work again, and the fan works again too.

Compact, not bulky; works as advertised.

We were gonna sell Eliptical machine that had been gifted to us but hubby said to look on Amazon and found it! SO HAPPY!

Exactly what I wanted

Perfect. Works like new with my Horizon RE7.6 Elliptical, which like others reviewed, I had a blinking/flashing console that was completely unusable, and you couldn't program at all. After getting quotes from $96 - $180 just to have it looked at (not even serviced), and seeing that a new console is like $300-$400, I mentioned it to a friend of mine who stumbled on the reviews here so I figured for $16 ($9 plus shipping plus tax) it was worth a shot. Glad I took the chance, and the cheap fix worked..

I think I will do a blog post on this one and here is why. First I was told because the board would not light up or start on the Elliptical, it would need a new board. $400 for the board. Thought I would take a chance and get a new adapter. Sears wanted $75 for the adapter. I think I paid $8 here on Amazon. So I went from $400 to $75 then down to $8 and my machine is running fine. No pun intended. Clearly one of the best deals on the market.

The console on our elliptical would do nothing but flash when the power was turned on. Fortunately, I purchased this adapter instead of discarding the entire unit or purchasing a new console which costs around $400.(Note: if the light on your adapter flickers and the console does nothing but flash, you probably just need a new adapter )
