IT WORKS FOR ELECTRIC GUITAR!
I just wanted to come back and let anyone know who isn't sure that this works well for an electric or acoustic 6-string guitar. I was unsure when I purchased this how it worked and if it would also work for standard (EADGBE) guitars. The problem was that, when I asked Amazon's wonderful AI assistant "Rufus" if it would work on a six-string electric guitar, it answered with -- and this is verbatim: "No, this tuner is specifically designed for cellos and basses." (see image) Can you believe that? Do these companies realize they're using so-called "intelligence" that is driving away sales? It's pretty wild, eh? Anyway, rest assured that if you're looking for a low-cost reliable tuner that you can use for an electric or acoustic six-string guitar, this will do the job and well. Here are some highlights of this tuner: -Color display with fairly bright readout, especially in darker environments -Responsive readout of frequency/tune -I have calibrated this against another known and very accurate tuner and this one is fairly accurate as well. So if you're looking for a decent clip-on tuner and aren't sure if you want to pull the trigger on this, be assured that this will work with guitar.

Easy to Use, and Precise.
You cannot place it close to the instrument, it HAS TO BE ON THE INSTRUMENT. CLIPPED ON. PHYSICAL CONTACT! I press the "on" and read my strings... very easy to use. I don't bother turning it off , it does that by itself. It is so small that I never take it off; it is always on my bridge. Despite the convenient small size, the Screen is Large and in Colour. It is Easy to read. I love it, it is just lovely!

Great for Cello and Guitar but get extra batteries
I use it mostly for cello but I noticed that it's great for guitar too. A battery lasts me about a month in daily use. It gets dim and hard to use outside in sunlight when the batter is low.

best tuner I have worked with or owned
This tuner is so easy to use that a blind person might be able to get things tuned with it. Simple, easy to gauge, as a fav., easy to read, tracks perfectly, and is super fast. And the price is a steal. I will keep the seller

Works just OK
This workswell as compared to my older Korg as a standard. The advantage of this is that I can clamp it on my cello bridge and tune in a room that has other instruments practicing and diddling. It responds to the frequency going through the bridge instead of through air. I can even leave it on the bridge if needed and it doesn't get in the way of bowing nor does it affect the cello sound. I can clearly view the note I am tuning. If I am off a bit, there is a color bar above and below the letter of the note that intuitively guides you to adjust for being sharp or flat. I almost had to return the device. When I pulled the protective plastic from the battery side, I did not notice that it had also pulled the back flap completely off and away from the unit. I thought it was packaged without the flap. The battery would not stay in on its own. I found it accidently the next day before mailing it back and canceled the return. Other reivews also remind us to remove the front plastic cover. The plastic cover has a color image that makes it look like the unit is on, but doesn't change when you try to use it. The issue I have with this is that it is hard to see the screen. I thgouth it was a battery issue at first, but new batteries didnt' help. I am trying to decide whether it is worth the trouble to return it.
