Works great!
This is great weatherstrip but it took me a little bit to learn the trick for installing it. The same pliancy that enables it to seal so well creates a difficult install at first. The kerf on my door was poorly set up and ended up hiding a ledge that was slightly recessed behind the bulb. This made it difficult to align the tab with the kerf. The solution was to hold a rigid piece of material that matched the ledge thickness ( in my case 1/4" thick bar stock) against the jamb so the tab had a straight path into the kerf. The other trick is to wet the kerf and the rubber with water. Then the seal can be inserted with a 1" putty knife or something similar (do not use a putty chisel) by compressing the bulb in order to press against the upper edge of the tab strip. Then just work your way along the length of the seal. It stays where you put it, remains pliant in cold weather, and seals well. It is easy to cut to length with household scissors.

Kerf could be more durable
Would be a 5 star if the kerf was of a more durable material other than silicone. Tears easily and is slow to install since it tears with moderate force applied.

Good product but VERY hard to install..!
If this was easier to install it would get SIX stars... and I'm a contractor. The product itself is great; super flexible so the door can squish it closed easily, seals almost a half-inch gap, yet bounces back to shape. Yay silicon.Unfortunately, I agree with other reviewers that it's hell to install. Definitely not a homeowner "pull out the old, slide in the new" product. In a nutshell, most door kerfs need to be widened to a full 1/8 inch, then the product needs to be stretched with two hands in short sections WHILE sliding into kerf back and forth. After entire length is in, still needs adjustment and sometimes pressure from a wide-blade plater knife... which can cut the slime kerf-retaining wings.I'm clever, a pro, and have good equipment... still took an hour! Now that its in, great product.

Horrible Product
This product is worthless. The edge that you push into the kerf slot is too soft and pliable. I tried using a putty knife but that didn’t help. The 3 layers of edging would just bunch up and then be too big to push into the slot. Tried pushing it in layer by layer but then the putty knife would cut through the material. I managed to wrangle in about 12 inches on one side of the door and just gave up after 30 minutes. Had to get regular kerf from Home Depot instead. Redoing one door should only take about 15 minutes with regular kerf. This is not worth the hassle.

A cut above similar products
What differentiates this weatherstripping from others I have used is the stiffer material used on the barb flange, making it more secure and easier to install.

Difficult to install
Installation was not as easy as other products I have tried from the big box stores. Even after using tips like applying soapy water and using a paint stir stick to work the flimsy silicone into the kerf, it took me well over an hour to install in one door.

Painful to install
It seems like these silicone door seals might work well - once you get them installed. Getting the very flexible fins into the slots was very difficult - as many other reviews have pointed out. What worked for me was lots of sliding and wiggling. Slipping the tab in with small motions back and forth. Straight pressure does not work. Lubrication with a little liquid soap helped a bit. I think I'll stick with the more traditional seals with the harder plastic fins - those just pop right in.
