So, after dropping the previous clock to the ground, smashing the glass while attempting to change the battery, it was time for a change.This is the time my wife reiterated that she hated the previous clock. We were not aligned on this subject matter.Anyhow, she chose the clock which was ordered, arrived next day well packaged. Wouldn't want to break this one.On the wall, it looks great, in keeping with a very old cottage. Very legible. It's very well made for the price and keeps great time.Highly recommended. I shall ask my wife to change the batteries when they run out.

These are good clocks, which are very clear and keep time well. They’re a good style and suitable for modern or more period homes, especially to give a neo-Georgian touch.This clock is a darkish gray. It will stand out boldly against a white wall. It is much darker than the lighter gray that used to be used in a similar clock a few years ago for reference.There is no noise from the clock as you’d expect.I have dropped these clocks from a great height and they survive remarkably well.You need to ensure you have a sensible hook to prevent this - ignore the plastic clock fixing kits and use a large hook or a large headed screw. The fixing on the rear is a little oversized and needs some improvement.

Great wall clock which is really up there in terms of looks for the price. I found a lot of the "antique" styled clocks in the same price bracket to come across looking a bit cheap, but this looks great. It is fairly cheap in reality, being made entirely from plastic it's certainly no frills, but it looks great and keeps an accurate time, at least over the last 24 hours its been on my wall so I've little reason to think it will drift from here. It takes a single AA battery (not included!) and is super simple to set up, just toss the battery in and rotate the time setting cog on the back and done. It's completely silent in operation and even with my ear up against it, I got no ticking or whirring sounds. My only argument against it would be the choice of brass coloured hands, which do make it less easy to read with a quick glance than black hands would, but I suppose thats a stylistic choice and they do look great. This is by no means a heavy knock against it though and it's still easy to read from a full rooms distance. I think it looks great and is easy to fit into almost any decor with its classic stylings.
