Ichiran Ramen Hakata Thin Noodles Straight one Orchid Special red Secret Powder (2 Meal)

This is fantastic Ramen. Pricier than your usual ‘gourmet’ level stuff but just so very very good. A really balanced soup and lovely with just an egg or more dressed up. If you like nuanced high quality ramen, treat yourself! Noodles are lovely quality thin and straight type which adds to the delicate nature of the dish, not that I’m beyond some chilli sesame oil and lots of toppings. I cooked the noodles in 450ml as suggested but put the noodles in my serving bowl and covered with the right amount of noodle water, and that was probably 100ml less. I also only did them for 2min from a simmer because they carry on cooking (although they were perfect to eat right away, I didn’t want them to go flabby while I sorted my egg out).

Die Nudeln sind dünner als normale Instant Nudeln aber schmecken super lecker. Die Zubereitung ist leicht und schnell und ich finde es super, dass man selbst die Möglichkeit hat, den Schärfegrad zu bestimmen, je nachdem wie viel von dem scharfen Gewürz man in die Ramen macht. Leute die gerne Ramen essen, sollten sich nicht vor dem Preis scheuen, denn diese sind es absolut wert und kein Vergleich zu billigen Instant Ramen!

I love restaurant ramen and while packaged ramen will never meet the same standard as restaurant quality, this bowl of ramen is a superb treat when you are craving the rich ramen experience. I like to add a soft boiled egg, mushrooms, and green onion for a more satisfying meal. I added the full spice packet and it was perfectly spicy for my taste but might be too spicy for others so add slowly! The noodles are way different than the fried curly noodles you get in the 25 cent packages. They are thin, straight, flour noodles that “puff up” when boiled. They end up chewy and ever so slightly sticky. Next time I’ll add some sesame oil and pork belly for a different flavor. Delish!

値段はともかく美味い！ 辛味も病みつきなる！ 店舗で食べたことないから一回行ってみたくなりました。(笑)
