Modern Kusudama Origami: Designs for modular origami lovers Review: More Beautiful Explorations - Much like her first book Kusudama Origami , this book offers a wide variety of kusudamas models. That combined with the multiple iterations she offers for some models, helps the folder to discover that simple variations can reveal beautiful new patterns, encouraging further exploration. For those who are just learning about modular origami and its construction, the author has created a section dedicated to modular assembly, leading the folder through how to construct different forms, alongside helpful hints to help them succeed. And while it is a small thing, this is one of the first origami books I have seen that offers hints on which models look best using gradient, patterned or duotone papers at a glance -- something very helpful for beginners, especially. Don't be fooled -- this book isn't just for beginners! the author has of course included many more challenging models for her experienced folding audience, and it comes through that she has put a great deal of thought into clearly communicating even the more complex models as simply as the easier ones in her careful diagramming and notes. Review: Great designs for experienced - This is a great book with beautiful designs. I gave it 5 stars because of this fact. As far as actually making the kusudama origami projects...this is for the experienced. I am just a beginner-intermediate and I am going to have to make a lot of other projects first before I can tackle these.

Ekaterina is the next Tomoko Fuse
This book is fantastic. Ekaterina is a genius and her ability to convey instructions is excellent. A couple of the designs in there are ranked as 3 stars and should be 4 stars (level of complexity) but otherwise this book is fantastic. Her first book is equally as good and the two books have minimal if any overlap in designs. Ekaterina is the next Tomoko Fuse.

I might be wrong but I think she has much better creations than those included in her books
Few models with many variations. Some instructions are not complete sending the reader to other pages, not a problem for experienced origamists but could be difficult for less experienced ones . I might be wrong but I think she has much better creations than those included in her books, thats why I did not buy her first book. I hoped to see her best models in this book and got a bit dissapointed. Despite this she is a great origamist, no doubt.
