How does it fare in the rain?

Been through torrential down pours and still shines brightly!

does is work in freezing weather, snow and rain?

Yes! Have had mine on my patio table for a year through a Pennsylvania winter (snow, sleet, etc.) and is still working perfectly.

Can it be used indoors?

Since its battery is solar charged, it would stay lite indoors after a good charge because ours stays lite all night outside in the dark. I have not tried changing the battery to a regular one, so i'm not sure if it will light ,not sure if it is dependent on solar battery, but its worth the try!

My lantern says 3 lumens. Should I have recieved a 10 lumen lantern as referenced in the other question?

Hi Montney, The seller says this lantern is 10 lumens. I ordered 4 of these lanterns and they are beautiful! They each lit the first night I received them even after minimal sun exposure the day of arrival. I have them hanging off of my deck. They look very cozy cottage like and have a very good flickering glow to them. I am thinking about ordering more of them to put around my gardens.
