Panasonic KX-TGA660M Extra Handset for 764XX Series Cordless Phones, Metallic Gray

Initially ordered this item in 2017 in order to expand my handsets around the house. Today, 2025 and we're looking for further expansion. We chose this handset again because this Panasonic unit has worked flawlessly over years of usage and abuse (drops etc). It's compatible with our system and still works well

Shipped on time and packaged well, although I didn't purchase the complete system from amazon (because of pricing) I am still very pleased with this product. Set-up is easy and nice directions to follow. I have this complete system set-up in my house (4 of these that came with the system with 1 base unit and this one, total 6) also the extender unit sold separately and I have it hook up to my Comcast Triple Play Router and the family loves the system, we can intercom each phone so it cuts down on the shouting, plus we can set individual alarms on each phone, go any where in the house and never loose connection and it has an answering machine if you want to use it, there are so many features to this system it makes life so much easier. I would recommend this product to anyone.

We are very pleased with the performance of this product. It replaced an older Panasonic cordless phone system and this one is a significant upgrade. The menus are easier to use and the new Bluetooth interface with our two cell phones is fantastic. We can answer our cell phones anywhere in the house without carrying them around. Also, being able to easily download our cell phone's contact list into each hadset is a real plus. Coverage is very good and we have had no problems with dropouts and disconnected calls. We added two handsets to get a total of six and all work well.

It's does make and receive calls, but the programing of the phone leaves a lot to desired. If you expect to transfer your phonebook using bluetooth or any other way, then don't buy this phone. I spent hours talking to panasonic, verizon, motorola, level 2 support. Getting so many different answers and none of them worked. Finally my last call was to panasonic telling them that the manual is wrong and the phone won't transfer via bluetooth. Their reply was "sorry". I was stupid for spending so much time in trying to get it to work, but sometimes I get stubborn and don't want to give up. I'm not sending the phones back as was suggested, the time and effort is not worth it. I paid a girl to put the phonebook in manually and will start shifting my vendors to my cell phone. Bottom line is Buyer Beware!

Best pricing. Works great. Ordered for the long talk time. Good sound and clarity. I do think there are too many steps to get what you want to retrieve ie. phone number. The button for the phone book and the 'on' button are too close to each other. The phone book button is black and hard to see so often touch the button below it which is the talk button. Also, have comcast service so when there's a message left, there is no indicator light telling us there's a message. We had motorola phones before and a light blinked when there is a message. This phone, I have to check the screen to see if there is a message so sometimes I there's a long delay before a message is recovered. To save a phone number, I cannot enter the phone number then tell it to save. You have to go into the menu and tell it you want to save a phone number. So the phone is more labor intensive than I'm used to.

I have an earleir version of these phones (no bluetooth link for cell phones) and I liked them so much that when my parents needed new phones I purchased this for them. Set-up is a breeze. Nice to be able to program number on one phone and have it populate to the other handsets. Lastly, the ability to use a handset in the cradle of the base unit as a power source during a blackout is greatly appreciated. I've had to use that at my home and it would have come in handy at my parents had they had it during a recent blackout (phones were ordered a few weeks after their blackout). Can't recommend these phones enough!

this is a pretty good phone. does everything well except one CRITICAL thing. There is no audible tone when there is a voice message on the machine. You have to give the base unit or remote phone a visual examination to see if there is a message. A very objectionalbe oversight and reason for two stars. If you can live with that negative, you will love everything else about the system. Also cordless phones do everything that can be done at the base. One nice feature is if the power goes out you can leave a phone in the base unit and it will power the system - i know, it happened to us.

Added the sixth phone to the system, the new connected quickly and work great.

This is old technology. However, this is the phone that my Mother uses, so when she lost a handset we replaced it with this. The shipping was prompt but it arrived with the wrong base for charging. Fortunately, we still had the old one. It got the job done for us. If you were looking for something new, I sure that you could do better.
