Super Strong Lemony Flavor!
I love to make lemon butter cream sauces for my fish and lemon pepper seasonings so decided to try this and from the photo the granules looked larger than they really were. When I opened the package the strong lemon scent hit me and I knew this was going to have so much flavor and the granules were much finer than expected which has worked great for every use.

Great quality and value
One of my favorite go-to spice brands. Always good quality and price.

Good substitute for peel of fresh lemon
Good flavor, nice to have a backup because I seldom have lemon in the house to use the peel for flavor. Much easier to use, and to measure, than fresh peel.

Not as lemon-y as expected
I like it, I use it on my budda bowls with extra virgin Olive oil and it adds a bit of flavor. Although, it’s not a flavorful as actual fresh lemon zest but that is obviously expected. I will still repurchase

Lemon peel or sawdust?
Lemon Peel spice has absolutely no lemon flavor or scent. Perhaps we got a bad batch but it tastes & smells like sawdust. Just made a yummy dish using freshly grated lemon peel a few wks ago but washing the grated after was bit of a chore so opted for a spice version instead. Made the same dish using the spice but it was horrible. Threw the spice away & resort back to zingy actual lemon zest. Sadly.

Pretty Good in a Pinch
The Spice Way Lemon Peel, compared to the Spice Island brand, was not as brightly colored or citrussy smelling. Spice Way's Lemon Peel color was brownish. It had a smell that was not lemony. There seems to lack brightness in taste and smell, and there was some extra bitterness in tatse, despite their using only the peel. Maybe they used a thicker peel that included some underskin pith. I know the Spice Island brand uses only the thinnest layer of the peel, hence, the brighter yellow color and more vibrant citrus smell and taste.. I was unable to find Spice Island lemon peel at a reasonable price, so I found this value item on Amazon. I do feel the Spice Way Lemon Peel is a good value, and may continue to use Spice Way Lemon Peel sourcing. I am glad I ordered from Spice Way and discovered their company. I purchased their lemon pepper and peppercorn medley spices on this same order, which I am looking forward to trying. This is a great company which provides clean spices without fillers, preservatives, or anti-caking ingredients. I love their philosophy of "Nature with Benefits". I highly recommended this company on my Facebook page, and they also have their own Facebook page. As a company, they provided an extremely fast delivery, and my transactions went very smoothly and as expected. Their packaging is beautiful and effecetive illustrating the care and pride this company puts in their business. I highly recommend The Spice Way, and I look forward to ordering more intriquing spice blends from them. Since Lemon Peel is very expensive, and often unavailable locally, I think the Spice Way's lemon peel is a good substitute.
