Spyderco Delica Lockback, FRN Handle, Combo Edge
Bottom line - this is my third Spyderco knife, and they make a high quality, long lasting and durable product. I have never had an issue with their knives. I bought the model with the Combo Edge and Black FRN handle. The Delica comes in MANY configurations. I bought this model as it was the lightest Delica I could find at 2.5oz, and it has a clip on the side for clipping on your pocket or belt loop. I typically clip in on my pocket with the knife inside my pocket still - decreases the chances I will lose it! This knife, like all my other Spyderco VG-10's, holds an edge well. Please note, however, these are a little more difficult to sharpen than most knives with softer steel - so pay attention to that and use only good tools for sharpening. The VG-10 is not as forgiving when sharpening, and screw ups are harder to fix!! Note that when I bought this here on Amazon about 9 months ago, the description said AUS-6 steel for this knife. This description was wrong, the steel on this knife is the higher quality VG-10 steel. (it holds an edge longer and is harder than AUS-6). I knew it was VG-10 when I bought it, I have two other VG-10 knives and prefer them. I chuckled when I came back to write this review, and see the description STILL SAYS AUS-6!! I know Amazon has been contacted to change it, but I guess they need more time! ;-) Amazon seems to have a hard time getting the descriptions correct on Spyderco, and matched up with the right knives. Keep that in mind, and verify what is written with a known source. Overall five stars - love Spyderco, would buy again and would recommend this knife for those looking for a small, lightweight powerhouse with a good blade, and one that will last a long time.

Worth The Price
I have to replace the one I either lost or misplaced. I had that one for over a decade and it still got a lot of use. I'm a trucker and I've used it for some fairly tough items, but generally to do things like cut off metal seals, and open boxes or such. It's good tough steel and the serrated edge cuts through many things with little or no problem, and retains it's sharp edge for quite a while before having to sharpen it again. This is a tough little knife and yet is extremely light. It also has a tough handle that is easy to grip...especially when pulling the knife out to sling the blade open with one hand. With just a little practice this knife opens as quick or quicker than a switch blade knife. Which is something I've got down to a second from pocket to open and out front...basically for protection....We go to some seedy areas in trucking sometimes. Anyway it's a good little knife that I have no problem buying again.... Buyer beware though. I got the knife and discovered this was a three inch blade instead of the four inch. It's still a nice little knife, but the bigger blade is a tougher tool. This size is really great for clipping into your pants pocket. It's so thin and light that you never feel itexcept when going into the pocket.

perfect EDC knife
This is a solid and well-executed every-day-carry knife. Locking action is secure and the grip works well. This newer version with the 3 bolts to hold on the pocket clip is a marked improvement over the previous design, which used a single large bolt that would often come loose for me. The blade holds an edge very well even under the constant abuse of cutting tape and cardboard, and is easy to touch up if you have the right tools. Side note of value only to rock climbers and tradesman who work up high: knives like this are incredibly secure in pocket carry during normal life, but a harness can easily catch against the clip and pull the knife free. This happened to me rock climbing and the knife bounced and popped open, missing the people below but teaching me a valuable lesson. The design is fine, but not meant to be dropped. I now carry a Trango Piranha knife captively for climbing and leave this one in the pack or unclipped, deep in my pocket.

Great Little knife
It's now been a year since I purchased this Spyderco Delica 4.. Over the past year, the knife has stayed sharp and the ease of one hand opening has greatly improved. While the ergonomics is still not just right, it has loosen up some so it does open with one hand. The light weight has it's advantages, and as such I find it is my go to when wearing shorts. For this and other reason stated I'm changing my original review of 3 stars to 4 stars. While the quality is there I was surprised at the ergonomics of the Spyderco Delica, when it comes to one handed opening. For a one handed thumb activated knife using only your thumb in the thumb hole, it is surprisingly hard to open this knife. In fact because it is so tightly held, the blade is almost impossible to deploy. Compared to Buck knife I purchased years ago at half the price, this blade deployment is less than what I would have expected. The knife itself is of good quality and it is very light in weight. The blade while sharp and sharper than similar Bucks knife it is not razor sharp like Kershaw knives in the same price range. Overall I give it 3 stars.

This is truly a great EDC knife
This is truly a great EDC knife. Takes a little practice getting used to opening and closing, but once you do it's easy. The shape is awesome. Blade is super sharp. I reversed the clip as I am a lefty. It's so light, it has almost gotten washed with my pants. For as light as it is, it is supper sturdy, no flex in the handle with the blade out. It's very tight, no play. I love that you can put your thumb on the back of the blade for needed pressure. For me, it really is a perfectly designed and built, all purpose, light weight EDC pocket knife.

Expected better
Mixed thoughts. Nice blade but the ergonomics on it are off. Thumb hole doesn’t line up with natural grip on knife which makes opening one handed cumbersome. As others have mentioned, action on knife is also stiff. Overall I expected more from Spyderco.
