Great buy for the money!
I have only had my U-Pro MX+ for a couple of weeks, got it with gift money for my birthday and I was skeptic at first but I'm really to point now that I think this will be a fine product with just a little use. The features are not explained very well anywhere by Callaway and you must do a little trail and error to figure a few of these out. Golf is a game of patience and I just took a little time to submit a few questions to Callaway. The yardage from the basic view is alright if that's all you want but I like the Pro view of the course layout and it tracked my location very well on the course, giving me very accurate yardage reading from all locations. I have a Bushnell but it is hard to get locked in on the pin location and hear in Kentucky there are a lot of elevation changes on most courses. I found the UPro to be more helpful as I just take it out of the case and push my button to lock me into the spot and there is my yardage. I haven't been out to play this week but looking forward to getting it to record my score, as I finally figured that part out. I think Callaway could have a very successful product if they just explained in more detail how this pocket size GPS works.

Golf GPS
Lots of loaded courses, including (surprisingly) one in a small Canadian town were we sometimes play. No new courses can be downloaded after 2015 so if you buy input all the ones you plan on playing into the future. Very accurate and detailed. One problem is it times out very quickly and needs to be reset. Not difficult but somewhat distracting in the middle of a round. Also the instructions state the unit will work for up to 36 holes on a charge but we found it must be recharged after each round or it will quit about 5 or 6 holes into the second round.

Really good device
I was very concerned about many of the reviews on this product. Now that I tried it, I really don't understand the negatives. I opened the box, charged the device, and went and used it on two courses. The distances were accurate, it always came up from sleep mode immediately, instantly synced to the correct hole location, and the battery life was more than good enough for 18 holes. I give it a 4 because the battery doesn't look like it will make 36 holes but I haven't had a chance to test it.I downloaded the Pro Mode for my home course and was very pleased. I did not install Pro Mode on the second course (my first time ever on this course) and really missed it.In summary, it is a great buy and an strongly recommend the purchase.

Excellent performance
Previous GPS experience would help in setting the unit up. It loads the courses easily and performs very well on the course. I only have used the Pro courses which allow you to bypass some of the opening selections like country, state, region etc. I primarily use it for distance to the green, yards to and after a hazard (invaluable). I don't use the scorecard nor the shot marker.I did have a problem with the first unit but was sent a replacement and no problem since. I would recommend the UPro MX+ especially at the prices it is going for these days. I have not as yet found a course not covered by Calaway. If you are new to GPS, I suggest you get a fiend to help you set it up. For most courses, I turn the unit on at the parking lot and by the time I'm ready to play the GPS knows where I'm playing and is ready to start working. My earlier/original UPro did the same. I have not experienced any battery problems always more than enough to get through the round with some to spare.

Callaway Got It Right
After a somewhat shaky start, the new UPRO MX+ is more than par for the course. Not only is it one of the best values on the market for rangefinders, but the company website and support is superior to most of the competition. It is accurate, easy to use, and versatile. The 25,000 pre-loaded courses should handle most of your local venues and then some. With the Pro Mode, you can add as many as you like. Track your fairways hit, greens in regulation, and putts to keep a handy reference for your game improvement progress. The Flyover mode is another plus featuring the resolution detail that only aerial imagery can produce. The new MX+ is quick to calculate shot distance to help speed up your round. The battery is good for 36 holes between charges, and if the slick little GPS has one drawback, it's a minor one. Some think the screw to the battery compartment is a royal pain, but I use a dime which fits nicely in the 'logo slot' and takes a mere 15-20 seconds max to close securely.

great for the price
Accurate reading, some times difficult to read in sunlight. Also if you are farsighted and wear contact lens the screen may be a little too small for your purposes. I have stopped using the score setting for each hole and enter it manually after the round. The UPRO MX has plenty of courses in the area and the fly over feature is good for courses that a golfer is not familiar. Overall a great buy for the price.

Lots of features for a great price!
I had a Golf Pro Neo and it just gave distances to the green-front middle and back. This one also gives me distances to bunkers and intermediate hazards. It also shows satelite photos of the holes if you want. Also have selections to show just what you want. All around versatile. Only drawback is battery life. One charge will get you through one 18 hole round . Great value for the price.

Works great...wish they still supported the product.
Works great, accurate distances. Check them against the cart GPS and the fairway markers, and it was absolutely consistent with a yard or two. Gets knocked down a star because they stopped supporting it. But then again, I got it cheaper because it was being discontinued, so I can't complain too much.
