Great replacement lock for an antique door. Works well and feels secure.

Great product but none of them work for my project. Make sure you check your dimensions of the lock you’re replacing. This was my issue

I used this on a antique door in a house restoration. it looks excellent with the antique doorknob. works really well. a good choice for people doing restoration work or anyone who wants a secure surface mount easily installed lock. price is amazing.

The lock suits my purpose but not sure how well it will hold up outdoors, looks like has the potential to rust. Installation instructions were detailed but inaccurate. Drawing of where to break off cylinder tailpiece show only three break points but part actually had at least half a dozen. When I tried to break the connecting screws at the break points the first one turned out to be too short for the door despite the measurements provided. The second would have been long enough but in trying to break it the threads became too damaged to use. I ended up having to buy two screws from the hardware store (over $2).

No key to the old one like this on our side garage door, so this was a great way to fix the problem and I could stay with the same old style like the one that was on the door! Great working lock!

Save your money!!! Do NOT buy this lock. It's cheap and light as a feather and barely even locks! A little puff of wind could break through this lock. Not safe and secure at all. I'm ordering a different lock today.

I purchased this lock in black, looks really nice except they supply bright brass screws to install it. I had to paint them to match. Also it was missing the plate to secure the tumbler assembly to the door. For me this wasn’t a problem because I just used the one from the old lock. For the price it’s not too bad. You get what you pay for! But all in all I’m happy with it.

Broke in 2 weeks

Definitely thought by the looks of it that this lock would be like our other old high quality lock. But it wasnt. Ended up just using the key part and throwing the rest out and keeping our old one.
