Baser - Outdoor fillable straight sandbags, 2 x 25 KG fillable weight bags for parasols, cantilevers and garden accessories

Ordered these a few days ago and received them before they'd been promised which was a bonus because I'd hesitated for quite a while over what kind of weights to get for our parasol. In the end I got these because I there were so many versions of the shaped slab-type ones (sorry, I don't know what they are called) and I really didn't know which ones would be best. So, got them, went to get the sand, just got basic, reasonable quality sand which was cheap, and filled them up. No problems at all filling them because it was simple to put the plastic inner inside, fold it over the outer for filling, then fold the opening over a few times and tuck under. The velcro fastening of the outer folds in on itself and it really strong, I actually struggled to get it open at first. One of the reasons that I didn't get the other type of weight is that some reviews were saying that they struggled to get the sand in, or ended up using water which I didn't want to do, or they had to buy expensive play sand. But I had no problems with these. On the parasol, they are laid across each other and work a treat. I can't emphasise enough how great the quality is. The bags look as though they'll last a lifetime, the stitching is perfect and we didn't worry about carrying each bag with the handle even when weighing 25kg. They look nice as well, they actually tone with my patio furniture so don't stand out. And I could use them anywhere and on anything unlike the shaped solid weights. I suppose the only down side is the price but, having bought them, I'm can see why they cost this much. Yes, you can get cheaper weights but I'm not sure that they would be as good at the job or look as good when sited. I was going to take them down a star just for the price but, having used them, I've put 5 stars because they are such great quality, well worth the money.

Great product, looks good and does the job.

Baser seem to be a good company that makes good quality products and cares about it's customers. The reason I haven't given it 5 stars is the bags (made from 100% recycled plastic bottles etc) feel like they have a slightly "residual" feel to them from the manufacturing process. That may go after a while.

I filled them with the left over earth and sand a builder left. The only thing is you have to make an effort filling them and then positioning them (over the legs of the garden table in my case). They obviously get very heavy once filled. You have to think about where you are going to position them, place them there and then fill. There is a plastic pocket inside so no water gets in. The handle is useful for manouvering. They have anchored my garden table down in great wind.

I bought the 15kg ones and loved them so much I asked for smaller ones to be made to fit my outdoor chairs to keep them from flying across the garden. Superb service - they made them and shipped them. They are not the cheapest but excellent quality and look amazing!! Thank you

Does exactly what it says. Good value for money. Good yoy can move around depending on how the wind is blowing. V.happy with this purchase

I have since bought similar products for half the price I wish I had done more research as I would have purchased these from another supplier . Quality is good price is crazy but my fault for not doing my research

Very useful for stabilising the patio umbrella as well as keeping the table cover on in windy weather. Very versatile & looks good too.
