great carving tool
These are great carving burrs. I have the next size up in course and fine, they worked so well I got this smaller size for more detailed work. Happy with them so far, the course round burr really does a good job of quickly removing material, just know you will very likely be left with lines in your work. So recommend having the fine grit as well.

Great cutting head
Clean and easy cutting. I love this thing. I’m using it to make freehand wood signs. Definitely the best cutting head I’ve found.

If you’re looking at this you don’t need my help!
As always, I start by saying I wasn’t paid for this (or any of my) review, and I bought this with my own hard-earned cash. Now: If you are looking at this than high probability that you are into power carving, and doing so w a dremel tool or a hanging motor. It’s kutzall. If you haven’t tried one yet do so! They’re amazing!!!! I have a few bits of Kutzall, Saburrtooth, and Foredom typhoon and they all accomplish different approaches. The Kutzall extremes are like the St and typhoon... they remove lots of stock quickly and relatively smoothly. That’s why I’ve bought more Kutzall classics than St’s now.... I found I like the gritty carbide better than the spikes. It’s not as aggressive and it leaves a better finish to smooth out. So: now you’re wondering - do I get regular or fine??? That’s tougher. I love the fine... and if you’re working a soft wood (I do mostly basswoods) it’s like butter... but I used some fine on oak and it struggles a bit more. If you’re afraid the fine will load up faster than the reg.... meh. I haven’t really noticed. I do keep a natural rubber stick (to clean my sanding drums as well) around and it takes off most of the funk pretty quick. I’ve yet to need to burn out any of my K reg or fine’s.... but that’s me. I prefer fines for most things now a days.... tho if I had the cash I’d have sets of all three. But if you only need the occasional power stock removal and do mostly rough detail power carving (I do the fine detail w chisels/knives) I suggest instead 60grit diamond bits. You can find them on Amazon (I found 1 or 2 sellers) and they work fantastically! Hope that helps for those that are like me and actually depend on honest reviews rather than the fake trash we’ve ALL fallen for from time to time. Cheers -R

Great little grinder, can burn easily though.
Very durable, very aggressive at high speeds. Works wonders on spoons and bowls, but stay focussed as it can easily run away from you or gouge things. Also, tends to burnwood on Hard/Soft Maple, or cherry.

Awesome tools for power carving
I purchased several different shapes of these small, durable, and very effective little burrs. They fit well on my hand-held rotary units. Absolutely love them. The boxes they come in are very durable as well. They are a little bulky for my carving bag. I wish they came in a multi-pack set, so I could have multiple burrs in one durable case. A little pricey, but worth it for the efficiency they remove wood. They do produce sawdust quickly. Respiratory protection recommended when using, and dust collection.

Vendor sent wrong one, which was great!!
Well the vendor sent a totally different burr. Fortunately it was one I didn't have and actually cost more than the one I ordered (so don't tell anyone). Anyhow I kept it and reordered again. Second time they sent the right one and it's beautiful. Works well for my woodcarving. I have an impeccable reputation, or did until I kept that first burr,....so you gotta believe me.
