A very good iron
I read many reviews on this iron and I think they have upgraded this model. First, the temperature dial is not that easy to move so brushing your hand on it when picking it up will not move the dial. My iron did not leak at all. I filled it to the MAX level and turned it on. It did not leak before it heated up or while it was hot. I even put the iron horizontal and there was no leaking. The steam function worked fine. The instructions were very informative with pictures. The wool setting of two dots (eco) will not steam unless the steam setting switch is also on eco. Then a smaller amount of steam is produced. It says that in the instructions. The auto off is on when the auto off red light on top of the handle is flashing. When that red light is not flashing the auto off feature is not on and the iron is working on the setting you have it on. To reactivate the iron from being off you just move the iron horizontally back and forth a couple times and it comes back on. The light that is very hard to find and see is the "Pilot" light. The one that tells you the iron is heating up. It is located on the left side bottom of the handle and it is sort of back under the center of the iron and it is a very faint orange. In order to see it you have to look for it and tip the iron a bit to see it. It is on only when the iron is heating up. The instructions say not to iron until that light goes off. This iron's spray and burst buttons worked fine. This iron steam presses very nicely on a flat wool ironing pad. I have not tried the vertical steaming because I don't have any clothes or items to vertically press. I sew and quilt and I use an iron for my sewing projects. So I use the highest cotton setting when I iron and this does great on that setting. It does glide over fabrics very well. I did not time the time it took to heat up. But I would guess it got to the cotton setting in a minute or two. It is an expensive iron but it has a lot of nice features like how the cord is attached to the iron on a pivoting ball to help the cord stay out of the way. The cord is about 7.5 feet long. The iron is not too heavy and not too light. It does have the calcium cleaner on it for easy cleaning of the iron. It pressed serious creases in fabric that was folded many times so it was 12 layers of fabric. Ironed it flat with the cotton setting and burst of steam. So far I like this iron. :)

It works!!!
I iron all kinds of albs and priest vestments which are made of materials that you have to iron hot and lots of steam to have nice creases . I had a Rowenta professional iron that lasted me over 20 years. However I did not allow anyone else to use my iron in my studio, one good reason ? anything lasts longer when one person uses it. So, I found myself having to replace my iron the old and faithful stopped working . I was trying to be frugal and not spend over $150 for another iron since there are so many out there. I did purchase five not all at the same time all different brands and they were horrible so I bit the bullet and I got another Rowenta. this particular model wasn’t the most expensive but it had everything that I needed. I particularly do not like the automatic shut off. I guess ill have to deal with that. Everything else is really good. Easy to use. Water does not drip and or leak out all over the items being ironed. Thats another pet peeve of mine. The tank does not last as long as I need it too, nothing I cant get use to. Over all it’s a good iron. Clean, glides smoothly over fabrics . Love the narrow front for small corners that never get ironed . I don’t like the electronic buttons . However , I will adjust. The iron Gets nice and hot, plenty of bursts of steam when you need it… i loved my older version. Im hoping this one , in this day an age will last just as long .

Superb steam iron
LOVE this steam iron. I love that you can add water to it while its on (our old Rowenta had to be turned off and cooled down before you could add more water; when on quite a bit of steam would leak out of the water fill cap and there was NO auto shut off). This iron is greatly improved, it doesn’t leak, it turns off after a certain amount of time automatically, and you can use it to iron with or without steam or just as a steamer for more delicate fabrics or curtains. Excellent iron, and wayyy better than a regular iron.

En febrero compré esta plancha y ahora ya se me descompuso, la verdad así no vale la pena porque es mucho lo que se paga para que en 7 meses la tenga que llevar a componer y lo peor es que no hay garantía.🫤

The product was delivered with a US plug despite being sold on Amazon UK, and nothing about this being mentioned in the description. The representative at Rowenta customer services was rude and told me he had no idea why.

I hesitated for weeks before I bought this after having dealt with a bad Rowenta iron for years Did I really want to buy another of their products? However I am so glad that I did. This is the best iron a gay man could ever have. And the best product ever. I never write reviews but needed to on this purchase. All the positive things that people say are true. All the negative things are crap. This is the real deal. A couple things I wanted to know before I purchased…how long is the steam cord? About 7 feet. Can you put the steam generator on the floor…yes, you get all the steam you want and can reach to all the difficult spots. The best thing is that you have continuous steam if you want and don’t need to dampen clothes beforehand. This is a real time saver.

This is the 2nd iron i have received and they both worked for about a week and then have stopped working altogether so I have had to send them both back. I am not very happy with this.

Probably the best iron on the market . I love cotton bedding but it is fiendishly hard to get the creases out , this iron smooth glides over cotton and really gets deep creases out . Marvellous. I also like a heavy iron in my hand , if you are elderly , maybe this iron would be a bit sturdy for you , I know my elderly mother would say it is too heavy for her , especially if you are doing a marathon family iron . I love it and give it 5* .
