American ginseng
Never had real ginseng before. I can really feel the effect. For me it's perfect no caffeine drink with great health no benefits. FYI ginseng is not the greatest taste in the world. Takes some getting used to but this is the real deal.

Taste Subtle, Much Like Licorice Root Tea & and a Sweet Aftertaste in Your Mouth
I have had a large exposure to herb teas in my life. I worked with an older co-worker that was very health conscience. He was friends with the Knott family of Knotts' Berry Farm. He got me to drinking a large variety of herb teas. I never had ginseng tea though. I thought I would try this for the possible benefit that ginseng is reputed to have in regard to hormones and such. Reviewers here on Amazon have had comments about the taste of this tea. I just finished a cup. Obviously, I can't comment about benefits, but I can give my take on the taste. I brewed the cup for about 8 minutes. I smelled it first, it smelled just like licorice root tea. A woody smell. Upon tasting it, I thought I was drinking a weaker licorice tea. I left the bag in the cup and the flavor was stronger as I emptied the cup. It even had a slight sweet taste, just like licorice tea has. This tea, just like licorice root tea, leaves a pleasant after taste. I made a second cup, only 6 oz. and it was just as strong as the first large, 12 oz. cup I did that with licorice root tea also. We'll see if it has any noticeable benefits after using it a while.

Great tea, bad tea bags
Love the tea but every other tea bag is half opened, resulting in very clumpy tea!

Delicious
Great value for the quality!

This product has to be expired but I have no proof since there is no expiration date.
Upon opening I cannot smell a hint of ginseng. Moreover, the contents smell stale and musty. That is the best way I can described it. I tried looking for an expiration date and could not find it. After steeping and taking a sip there is virtually no flavor. This seller is dishonest and is definitely selling an expired product. I can't even get a refund for this terrible product.

Great ginseng tea!
I usually get my ginseng tea from the asian supermarket and this one tasted just like that one. Definitely worth the buy, and it tastes really natural with the right slightly bitter but very earthy and natural flavors.

As you open the bag the smell of the ginseng immediately lets me the quality of the product. Has a lovely taste and can be used again to rinse out as much goodness from each teabag. Great product and good value.

I've grown up drinking ginseng tea brewed from Ginseng Roots and not from a bag. I was sceptical at first but that changed quickly after drinking the first brew. Its value for money and I'd recommend it.

This is a tea that creates a rather bland and earthy brew that’s not really that nice to drink. It's my first try of ginseng tea, it was not what I was expecting. The best way I can describe it is that it tastes like it has a light hint of compost that’s been filtered, there is no real flavour. I have tried it hot and iced leaving the bag to brew and stirring for 5 minutes. I can’t speak for the believed benefits of drinking ginseng, but drinking this I don’t feel would really help. Its also recommended to drink 2-3 cups a day - I don’t think I could bring myself to drink one per week. Overall, I would not recommend this tea. I have tried many ginseng products before and this American ginseng tea has got a nice ginseng-specific flavour: earthy, bitter, puckery, and with a sweet after taste. It is comparable to the American ginseng tea I brew myself by using the ginseng slices. This one is in a teabag so it is easier and stronger. I brew it twice or three times before throwing the tea bag away.

I cannot pretend to like these but I am willing to keep at it if there are the health benefits as claimed. The smell put me off, it reminds me of peanuts. The taste is actually Surprisingly sweet but a little earthy, not unpleasant. I if I can only just get past the smell I will be ok. The bags don’t add much colour to the water and the contents resemble biscuit crumb or porridge? I leave the bags in normally when I have infused teas and did the same with these. Interestingly enough I’ve read you can use the bags up to 3 times each. There are 20 in the bag I had supplied.
