Old Man Emu2891 Coil Spring Heavy Load Sold As A Pair Coil Spring

Used for 97 4runner. I have heavy steel rear bumper with tire swing out and 2 jerry cans. As well as 12v fridge, tools, cookware etc. I had OME 906x and they bottomed out on small bumps, these 891 have stopped that issue. I'll be buying another set for my wife's 99 4runner as her rough country lift springs aren't handling the weight of roof rack and roof top tent.

These added about 4” to rear end. Ride quality is fine. Rides like a truck. No sag even when loaded down with gear.

I bought these to replace a pair of OME 890 springs on my 3rd gen 4runner. Idiot who installed the existing pair had them on the wrong sides (each spring is side specific) (previous owner). Figured I'd just upgrade to the 891's which are supposed to be heavier load rated. I'm carrying alot of kit & an overlanding trailer. This is where it is strange to me... The ones I got are the exact same height, diameter, & number of turns as my existing 890's I replaced. So how are they heavier duty? Came out as the same exact ride height as well. Seems kind of odd. Easy enough to replace in my driveway with the right tools & know how. At least these ones are installed properly. I didn't rate "stretch" on the stars. What the heck is "stretch" as a spring value/rating???

2” front lift, OME 2891s in rear.350lb ski hanging 8” off the bumper,Barely squats.Still a smooth ride unloaded as well.This is the spring you’re looking for if you do any hauling.

They arrived quickly in new condition.

Easy install and great lift and ride. I had these for 20,000 miles so far and love them.
