Bare With Me Hydrating Jelly Primer, Vegan Face Primer

I use this everyday? It’s great for my dry skin type and I’ve been using it for over 3 years now?

I have combination skin and right now the dry areas were wrecking havoc on my makeup routine. I needed a primer for those areas bad as most of the ones I tried would work for a little bit and then...trash. This was a top recommendation on one of the beauty sites, the price was right and the reviews good so I decided to give it a try. It did not disappoint. My makeup has never looked better and my skin looks hydrated! After about 5 hours my face still looks good...can't wait to see what happens during the summer months. But for now it is a winner.

It’s a clear water-based jelly and a little goes a long way. It’s so lightweight that at first, I didn’t think it would be effective, but I was wrong. My foundation spreads evenly on my face and stays on from 5:30 am until I take it off at 10 pm! I can’t say enough how much I love this primer!

Fairly Medium Matte and Fair Matte from bareMinerals are the best color matches for my skin that I have ever come across. The original bM foundations aren't a match for me at all, but the Matte colors are perfect. I have cool (pink) undertones with a lot of freckles and dark hair that give me a warm/neutral color palette overall. Most cool foundations are too pink for me and all warm foundations are far too yellow. No one seems to make a neutral color for fair complexions. These two foundations have been my go-to's for a decade now. I use Fair in the Winter, Fairly Medium in the Summer, and blend the two during transitional seasons as my color changes. The finish is a soft natural-looking matte. The only thing I dislike about this product is that is does settle into fine lines. I use a filling silicone based primer and no, it doesn't help with that. I have taken to using a tinted moisturizer all over my face and then applying this powder foundation on top, but avoiding the areas where I have fine lines. I use a setting spray to finish. This works for me overall, though I do keep meaning to try their liquid foundations to see if they have carried over this great color match to another line that is more targeted to the age I am now.

They didn't have the usual primer I use. So I tried this. It's different. But it feel tight on my face so I like it. Not saying it erased fine lines because I don't really know. It is sticky, but after my usual face care it is not. I store my jar upside down and take what I need off the lid. Much easier.

Doesn't feel tacky on skin. My skin is combo leaning more towards dry. This dries my skin and makes my foundation look really textured. It also smells really strong like rubbing alcohol when you first put it on. Doesn't linger though.

Have you tried moisturizing primers only to be left disappointed because it wasn't or had a white ashy caste ? This one isn't that and I have at least 6 others on my make up stand. They can all go in the trash. I use this over my moisturizer. You have to let it dry ** It's not too sticky. You foundation will go on evenly, stay put and in this dry winter weather not look cracked or cakey. I use it all over my face including under the eye and eye lids. It's light, refreshingly cool when you apply it. Great price as well.

I love the texture and quality of this primer. My only complaint is that it did not come with an applicator, so you are expected to stick your fingers in. I am using an applicator for a cleansing balm, which works great, but I wish they had provided something.

This primer is soo good, it’s refreshing and non greasy and leaves your skin feeling soft and moistened ready for your foundation. I’ll never use anything else now!
