I don't see why not but to be on the safe side you should contact the manufacturer. This product is very silvery.

Do I still need to buy a primer?

If you want primer than yes. I have never needed it.

I have a gmc acadia, Switchblade Silver Metallic, is this the same color???

This color match was for my 2013 Chevrolet Cruze, even though the color was stated be something else.However, GM puts the Color Code for their cars on a sticker, usually in your passenger side glove box.At the bottom of the Sticker you should have either a U 636R or WA 636R. If so this is the right color match.Incidentally this touch up system, is the best I have ever used. Good control at the base paint tip. After a couple years the used tube has not clogged or gummed up either when left in a house drawer.
