Jungle Cruise (Disney Classic) (Little Golden Book)

Cheap Quality
Bought this in January I believe when it first became available for purchase even though I didn’t get it till a couple weeks ago. I took it out of the box to read it to granddaughters and this is not the same quality of the original golden books. This is a very cheap book that was put together quickly. I feel like traditional good quality golden bucks are put together, not with staples as you can clearly see here. The golden seam that they’re known for along the edge of the book is completely lifting like it wasn’t glued properly or it’s just a cheap imitation. Returning. I’m so sad that we couldn’t add this to her other library of books that she’s had since her baby shower when my daughter started collecting them from all the guests in lieu of a card to build her library 5 years ago. This was a bad purchase.

Fun read for Disney Park fans
This book is filled with classic Jungle Cruise ride jokes, making it a great way to remember our past Disneyland memories and gives hope for new ones to come. Some jokes were lost on my 4 year old but I think this book will be great to read for years to come. My child enjoyed the illustrations, pointing out silly things in the scenes and the different animals. This book goes with the 'It's a Small World' Golden Book that came out a few months ago and the 'Haunted Mansion' Golden book coming out in July.

Book is poorly put together
The story itself is fine. It’s not the most interesting story. It’s just the jokes from the Jungle Cruise ride, which is fun. It even has the classic “8th Wonder of the World.” The only bummer is that the golden spine of the book isn’t glued down and is peeling up on the back and front of the book.

Cute but I’m not sure it’s really for kids….
I have bought all the Disney attraction books. But this one isn’t necessarily a story? It’s basically the skipper’s script so it’s just puns and jokes page after page. Which is fine; but my 5&3yr old don’t get them at ALL. (Maybe I can’t deliver the punch line??)Cute for adults; maybe not the best for little kids. The space mountain and haunted mansion ones have more of a story line for kids.

Poorly put together.
Book is cute but the binding is lifted and coming off like they didn't use enough glue. Pretty disappointing as our family loves golden books and this was a birthday gift.

Good story, poor construction
This is the story of a well known ride and we were happy to see they incorporated some is the jokes from the attraction. However, the book construction was poor and I expected more from Disney and Little Golden Books. The gold band on the book started coming off shortly after arriving and one side has almost completely come unglued with only a couple of readings.

Definitely not like what golden books used to be
The book is cute, but as I opened the the book to the first page, the gold part on the outside lifted and unglued from the book. This was supposed to be a gift for a friend. But now looks damaged and I just got it yesterday. Definitely disappointed. It would have been a real cute book.

The story is good, the binding is bad
The story itself is cute, but the golden binding was falling off when it arrived. I received a replacement book and it also had the golden binding falling off. I ended up taping it on, but you definitely cannot give as a gift. Disappointing quality.

Classic Jungle Cruise One Liners!
Classic jungle cruise one liners filled in a well illustrated Story book, what’s not to like.A must for young children who love the jungle cruise, or a must for the children of parents who love the Jungle Cruise. We read these series of books (including the matching Haunted Mansion and Small World, amongst other little golden books) for our 4 year old before bed and he loves them - mainly I suppose for the memories associated of visiting the actual attractions, but the illustrations (as with most golden books) are fantastic (which he loves), and the adapted story is great too, as are the multiple ‘dad jokes’ associated with the Jungle Cruise Ride.Only slight issue is the finishing of the book seems to be a bit haphazard as the gold paper spine is peeling although a ‘hard press down’ or burnish seems to do the job.One other tiny issue is the punchline of the ‘backside of water joke’ isn’t included. My favourite joke from the jungle cruises - and it goes something like this - “The 8th wonder of the world - the backside of water!!! Don’t try this at home, as you’ll hit your head on the sink (faucet)”.Great book for any Disney parks fan, although this isn’t really related to the Disney Film of the same name, as it is based on the Disney Parks version of the ride. If you are a Disney fan though, you would enjoy it all the same I’d imagine.Great little book, slightly let down by a tiny issue with the binding (which seems to be a common fault).

Cute story but binding is peeling off
The story is very cute and uses a lot of jokes that you would find in the actual attraction, but we’ve only cracked it open a couple of times and the gold binding on the spine is already peeling off.

Small damage on front of book
A few tears on the binding on the front of book. Bought for my grandson for keepsake along with 4 others for a collection I’ve started for him.
